So this is my third review. I will be clear and direct this time.
My mind have changed and the story's plot have also changed. This novel will contain a mc who is very cruel and disregards human emotions. He has no goal at the beginning but slowly developed or find a goal to live for. He have multiple personalities, and he is a genius. He is talented but not like the op mc. In fact the story have many occurrences where the mc's weakness is revealed and how powerful the world is to give him a harsh lesson. There won't be any girls or romance here, even if there is a girl rushing to him he won't care or just play with her considering his mood. People are no more than a soul within a meat cover depending on bones to move and be stable. The name is bs, it was my mistake back then, but since it is contracted I don't want to resubmit the contract again so, this could be the structure.
Name: Dimension Devouring Ghost.
Genre: Fantasy, sci-fi is merely a sub one, the main is fantasy. Sci-fi is the one for his current world where in other, fantasy will be the main driving force.
Update: Unstable (I will try to make it better)
MC: Cold, cruel, emotionless, benefit seeking genius. (he might seem like a hypocrite in the starting chaps)
Grammar: Bad and rough (will try (not sure though))
I am starting on a new novel (I won't be disclosing the information) so think of it as me working on it if I'm not updating on this one. I might have lost motivation but I have regained it so I will try to publish at least one chapter every 2 days.
I appreciate the support.
The reason why I gave this novel 3 stars is because of no reason. I don't want to rate it 5 stars which would look shameless neither would I want to rate it 4 stars because I feel like 3 is average, the middle (logically) and rating it medium is just alright.
I have read to chapter 66(most recent chapter, when I wrote the review).
I would rate this story as good and I like it, because I was immediately immersed in the story and read all available chapters in one sitting.
What i liked:
+ The MC's class that provided a well balanced amount of crafting and fighting ability
+ The MC's character: I liked how well he accepted his class, being introvert, capable, how he healed with the apocalypse and that he has no delusional desire for a harem and being king.
+ The described world
As the story has not ended yet and is not really far into the plot(I guess), this is not a negative point, but what I hope to still appear in the story:
The title of the story is a blacksmith in the apocalypse. I don't feel that the story has gone into details about the apocalypse. So I hope that in the future, the MC will return to his world and we can really see and experience the apocalypse that happened.
I always leave five stars on books because as a writer, it's the only thing I could do to support other ones. But for you, it's kind of a well-deserved five stars since your book really shows promise. It's a great read!
I'm not going to lie, your book is really immersive but there are a few things that you could still improve on, albeit minor ones: First, you could improve on your information. Don't rush things such as the evolver levels. You shouldn't have done that in chapter five since it would only look lazy to other readers. I've written books with power ranking before and it's always easy to snippet explanations during the story and work your way from there. like "Wow! You're a universal?! That's the highest rank anyone could get! I'm only a Level 9 evolver so I don't know." or something like that. And then from there, work on explaining the other ranks in the next chapters until the readers get a vague idea on it. When it comes to writing, it's always best to even out your information so your readers will always be engaged, not releasing massive amounts of info on one chapter and then no new information on the next. That way, your readers would consistently ask themselves what's going to happen next and continue reading. It's still a constant improvement for me though hehe.
Second: Grammar, there were parts where you said "didn't me(e)t" or x369('s) whole body (I included the correct forms in brackets). These are only minor mistakes but readers can get particular about it. I know it sucks not having an editor but you could always avail of apps like Grammarly that would help you with your small grammatical errors. These are only minor mistakes though so you only need a little bit of improvement. Honestly, though, your vocabulary is really awesome and I know you'll get far when it comes to writing. (I also like anime, web novel, webtoons, light novels, mangas, dramas, etc etc ehehe so I relate to ya. Cheers!) I'd suggest going through your chapters when you have free time and just edit it. I do it sometimes but I still miss like a lot of minor mistakes. Phew~!
Third: Dialogues. I don't know if it's just your writing style but putting a comma after dialogues is new to me. I've never seen anyone do it and for a good reason. I guess there are etiquettes when it comes to writing dialogues... I'm not sure but it doesn't look professional.
Now don't misunderstand. I like your book, I even added it to my library since it's very promising. I hope you don't find any of my reviews as offensive but as a means to improve your skills. I want to support your book as much as I could since I really like it.
Keep on writing, keep on improving, and keep on moving forward, because that's what authors do. ^ ^ I know you'll make it big someday. Good luck!
Very well written and executed. Story is very interesting with alot of growth potential and I would love to read more.
Definitely a good read and you must check it out.?❤
Personally, this isn't my type of story id like to sit down and read. However, this story is well crafted. Being articulated very well. Were shown very early how the mother and father of the Protagonist, both have underlying habits and flaws, that in retro speck would make any toxic family worse. This alone helps us see why our protagonist ends up the way he does. Instead of overcoming it in a good way, being a good samaritan because his life was crummy. He thinks of himself first and foremost. The book as a whole is good, and I'm sure many people would enjoy it if given the chance at reading it!
this is very well written the MC is nicely thought out. the other characters don't seem as good you me though. great work though REALLY eager to read more of this!
The setting is somewhat unique but the thing that stands out the most in my opinion is the cast of characters. Solid book IMO and you know IET is always quality.
