Short and sweet. Would love a little more of their story, but one can guess a happy ending.

I had to stop reading this at Chapter 233. I advise readers to read with precaution as it could have a negative impact to one's mind. All due to the MC and (I don't know about this) the Author's philosophy about life.
The MC is mentally disarranged to the point where he has no sympathy after his mother's death. You can consider him no different from a beast in this world. Made me realize that the other characters are more human compared to the MC.
But, the story and the ideas are interesting. I just had to drop it because I felt that it isn't worth my read anymore.
I usually don't mind cold MCs.. but this one is like a robot. I don't consider Noah human anymore.

A brief story summary:
Ling PingAn is a well read NEET in charge of his own bookstore with no money problems at all becouse of fantasy gov. subsides, at day he has no clients at all, but at night when a strange fog sets in, strange cosplayers and weirdos (with no money) come in and buy books from him in exchange of rare objects or even food, although he's a bit vexed that he's not making any money, he doesn't really need it anyway and the weird objects are usually high quality goods that he has never seen, so he takes in stride.
This is how he sees things.
And now this is how his clients see things.
In their respective post-apocalyptic words, there's no hope for man to survive, every day is a miserable battle against hopelessness becouse Diablos (I imagine they meant "Devils") have taken over the world and humans have become an endangered species, less than cattle. When roaming that desolate landscape they encountered a mysterious fog that nulified their supernatural powers, in fear they approached the to source of light and encountered a dinky bookstore. Inside, they were faced with all kinds of horrors and an out of place "man" behind the counter, an otherwise normal body with deep fog surrounding his head and bright light where his eyes should be (think Kurogiri from MHA), this man offered them forbidden knowledge in exchange for the corresponding price, what they understood for a corresponding price was of course their lifespam, their soul or their sanity. In a desperate gambit they offer all the values that they had on them at the time and, unexpectedly, he accepted the trade. With this new knowledge in hand they seek to change the fate of mankind in their respective worlds and if posible, seek help again from this terrifying new "Ally".
TLDR: Lovecraftian horror gives away forbidden knowledge at a bargain
As for my review, its well made but it sometimes stretches too long, but its not really a problem to me. Its also a bit nationalistic? But not really racist, it is however a very idealized fantasy Chinese empire where a returner came back and made all the right choices to make it the greatest nation ever made, but its not the tipical malicious jingoism where they shit on every country, its a goverment that's basically perfect with little to no corruption that solves everything they set out to do and its very honorable and everyone likes them and wants to be like them, basically China is a huge Mary Sue, but at the same time, its a somewhat pure and innocent kind of Mary Sue, something like the 60's Adam West Batman, but not as charming.
Anyway, 5 stars, hope this gets picked.
When you get paid to make spelling errors
It really is questionable how something like this gets picked. The story is extremely rushed and full of cliches and based on the ratings (I know that ratings aren´t meant to be taken seriously here, but still) noone seems to like this novel. Trial reads are truly useless. The good ones get dropped while the bad ones get picked and eventually, they also get dropped because noone´s reading that garbage.

I really love this novel!
It is quite fast paced -which i like-, the translator rarely misses an update, while the quality is really good and has shown improvement steadily.
As for the novel itself, there is not much of a character development going on. For the MC yes but not for anyone else. So many characters are left behind. They may apear radomly as well so we get a sneak pick on what they have been up to, but the (chapter) gaps get bigger as the story develops.
The same goes for world building. Not many details -which i ironically like- just enough to get you excited but by the time the MC moves on you still haven't discovered even a small part of a place. That can be the result of the fast pace the author is writing to get the interest going.
I am quite concerned on how it is going to end. It reminds me of another novel development-wise and a second one world-building wise. We will see!
All in all, it is a great pick if you like fast paced plots, a quite powerful MC and do not mind the world and character development. Oh, i have read up until 648 if anyone wonders. Please be patient when you start reading it- 100ish chapters at least if i remember correctly-. It gets better!
Found this while searching something to read, the site has a lot of hidden gems it's just that the search function it's awful. Worth the read, really good fighting scenes even if the world bulding leaves a lot to be desired, same with the descriptions.
Any one who likes reincarnation to a game world novel then this is a great pick.
I wanted to stop reading this around chapter 25 and then again at 36 as I just couldn't keep focus, dreading the wall of text that would give me information/answers to questions that were never asked, only to find our that if they didn't do this you would of been super confused, but by chapter 52 you start seeing things fall into place and starting to make a lot more sense.. then bam you at the end of whats been translated feeling like "FAAARRRRRRKKK I WAS FINALLY ENJOYING THAT"
The side character development is pretty bad, but this can be seen as the author trying to make people follow the mind set of the MC, he just doesn't have time to worry about side characters at this point in the novel, so i don't see this as bad point,k if it stays like this though at later chapters then its gonna be an issue.
I am giving this 5 on everything because i can see potential in the novel and want to see further updates, if or when this novel start releasing more chapters I will re visit this review to update.
