I think Shane is there to ask for a divorce and so for his girlfriend career and now he find his wife has his son. he forgot his wife I feel if that what is there for his wife need give a divorce and she leave town again and come year later more richer and smarter. and mother know where she is

What is the use of strong female lead, actually she can't do anything. When they abuse or humiliate she has to stay quite because she is not powerful. She has to live according to the story. She has a little brother and mom who depends on her.

Hye there! I liked the story but your plot isn't new I have read some stories with the plot so I can tell that you have mixed them and made a new one. Just one suggestion don't stretch unnecessarily. That way the story will lose its charm. There are some errors in your story but overall it's good.
