This is probably one of the best webnovels I’ve read in such a long time. I don’t mind the gruesome and lack of empathy in the main character. In fact, it’s one of my favorite aspects about him since he’s an antagonist protagonist. This story literally put me at the edge of my seat waiting in anticipation for the next chapter. The characters, dialogue, and plot are top tier and I can’t wait for more chapters. I love this story so much and I’m happy it’s back!
As of writing this review, I’ve only read up to Chapter 16. The author’s writing style could use improvements, especially when it comes to tenses, grammar and phrasing. From the chapters I’ve read so far, I keep getting the feel that there is a lack of direction for the plot and details with respect to world/setting. Sometimes it seems to me the MC was just running around places and doing things, being silly, asking questions that aren’t getting solid answers and evaded by other characters. This all makes it hard to grasp what’s going on with the plot/character development. Mystery is good for a story but when reading this, I felt there was too much strange mystery happening and not enough answers as a reader. Or perhaps it’s the way the MC is narrating the story that doesn’t really resonate with me. In fact, I kind of find the MC annoying with his dealings. I have to admit that this isn’t really my cup of tea. However, if you are into magical realism, creatures of the night with hints of romance in the background then this story may be for you.
I've only read a few chapters in this book so I might change the review but the title is exactly what the book is: short, light, and free.It makes me wonder about what could happen after a story's chapter/s. I'd say it's a way to get a feel for other genres that you might not look for yourself especially since it's just a chapter or a few.

Honestly, this is a terrible read overall.Most of the bad reviews here are very accurate like, "I'd refuse to read this because this sure has cardboard characters". this is actually true within this novel. The most nonsensical harem I have ever read- that is a lot considering I don't judge harems.
READ THIS COMMENT BEFORE YOU START READING THE NOVEL:The novel isn't finished. If there were even just 10 more chapters the author would be able to give a rough finish, BUT for some reason(I assume issues with the publisher) the final chapters are either missing or were never written. Chapter 2258 isn't the final chapter. There's a ton of stuff that needs to happen and if you read it only to 2258 you will feel really disappointed because almost everything interesting that you as a reader were expecting to find and was being dragged for 1000-1500 chapters you won't be able to read. Chapter 2257 literally covers 3 important stuff that got dragged anywhere from 500-600 chapters to 1000+.The novel is decent, but without a finale that gives you as I said the most important parts it's pointless.I saw someone wrote that it has 2286 chapters which would be enough to finish it, heck even 10 chapters a I said would be enough, but it never got finished or at least I can't find any translations past 2258.I know that some would hate the publisher since I assume money was involed and the publisher and the writter couldn't settle, but if I have to point at someone I'd say the author is more at fault... how can you stop 10-20 chapters before the ending... DISAPPOINT!!!Also it's beyond me why this novel is marked as COMPLETED when honestly with this finale it's not different than not reading it.

Well, I am a fan of Cultivation novels; So, I just got struck into it as I saw its genre♥️To be honest- The plot the novel bears has great potential and intriguity?I think the novel gets more and more love from the readers-and, kindly re-visit and re-edit your initial Chapters for errors✌️You may find some more ideas while reading them again!

I really enjoyed reading this trial read. Make sure to be picked, I will give all my support to the Author's needs for Author to write continuously. But locking chapters only on chapter 20 will give bad impression to Readers.
