I love the story so far and it got me intrigued as to what's going to happen next. Keep the updates coming
Is very interesting, the story is amazing and I can not stop reading as I want to know what happens next. is very well detailed and lets you imagine and feel like you are in the story. keep up the good work, Author. I'm rooting for you.
Finnally a novel with a turtle mc, im not expecting much just let it be decent.
(Ok apparrently my post has to have a certain amount of words to be posted so this is just filler)
Story is good but the new translator (after chapter 390) is very bad.
The names are bad and he/she are sometimes mixed up.
I only like this novel and unscientific beast taming.
The story in itself is not the great deal but, in my opinion ,the world is well build and the characters and their interaction seems quit real( for a r-18 novel),with a good writing quality(compared with most of the novels of this genre), so if you are an OPEN MIND person that just want to enjoy a good r-18 novel, I, sincerely recommend this novel.
This is a faloo novel.
I'll see if I can find it
Hey author ch 22 is missing..
Don’t waste your time and coins this novel has been drop
All i can say is that this novel isn't getting the love it deserves from QI. Instead of promoting generic stories that revamp the same arc with different characters for 2000 chapters this should be brought front and center as a quality novel and translation. The best novel on this site(imho).
First of all, the translator is doing an amazing job with this novel, even as the author twiddles his thumbs and churns out filler after filler. The updates are consistent, but even the rapid releases aren't able to distract you from this story's failures.
Let's descend in order of ratings. The character design is well done- for the main character, that is. It's really endearing to see him grow and steadily exercise more power, considering his *****, pitiful origins. However, his arrogance- or perhaps chuunibyo- is used to awe and inspire those around him, but it most frequently turns into a joke, a poor attempt at comedic relief.
Speaking of chuunibyo, there's a heavy Japanese influence in this novel. There's nothing wrong with that, but directly plagiarizing characters from other anime, such as Saber, One-Punch Man and Hellscythe is a sad substitution for actual character development, and really demonstrates the author's lack of originality, which is further exacerbated by his terrible pacing, the overarching flaw that neuters this story's potential for growth.
I mentioned that I would descend in order of ratings, but I merely gave character design 2 stars. Why is that? That's because the story doesn't consist of only the main character. The main character has a few potential love interests, and anyone caught up on translated releases will be very familiar with them.
Unfortunately, the fatal flaw strikes again. I ask you, readers, after the tower arc, how many of you are still conscious of the supporting characters that were introduced in the first "half" of the novel? Perhaps if you binge read, you might have some semblance of their personalities, but the tower arc, as a means of isolating the elites from the rest of the world, has utterly disconnected the reader from the rest of the world. We're not talking a quick arc either- we're speaking about hundreds of chapters, with maybe 50% of it filler and the author simply bloviating about whatever he wants to extend the word count.
Is it strange to consider character interactions as part of the character design category? Honestly, the interactions are consistent, but of course they would be- the author has simply stole premade characters and dropped them into his story. The characters he designed himself are your typical wuxia cultivators.
He hasn't just stolen characters either. There's an implicit ridiculousness to this story- if you really think about it, you might become dizzy. For example, don't let it bother you that the main character wields Shu's ability from Guilty Crown, as well as something akin to the eyes of death from Tsukihime, as well as Excalibur from Fate, with another recent addition being the Hulk's physical power up. That our mutated chimera of a character is driven by a ***** personality of straightforward foolhardiness of nigh idiocy is no comfort- his transfer to this world might have neglected parts of his brain.
There's not much to say about development- there is practically none after he enters the tower, and what was established before will quickly be forgotten. The author provides random tidbits of history to pad his word count, but instead of explaining the rest of the world besides China, he'll focus on something inconsequential to churn out another filler.
Oh? Did I not mention the origin of the title? Don't worry, you won't see much of the "absolute choice" system anyway- it simply acted as a method to introduce comedic relief, but its output was cringe and a prelude to the author's questionable state of mind- honestly, we should've recognized his insensitivity before reading this far.
The author alludes to the fact that he recognizes his pacing is messed up, personifying himself into his characters and speaking dialogue that's essentially throwing shade at our "impatience". He has deluded both the readers and himself into believing that his chapters of full of substance and vibrant with content, a false sentiment borne of his arrogance. If you read the comments, you'll get the information you need in 1-3 sentences, as opposed to the author's long winded rambling.
Don't have any high hopes for this story- the 4 and 5 star ratings are from an era long past. How can a story reform when the author won't? It is pure idiocy to expect anything from this fool. For the brothers stuck in a limbo of anticipation and then deflation upon seeing a chapter of nonsense, I feel you, and I beseech the newer readers, on the fence- don't read this story.
READ OR RUN??
TRANSLATION QUALITY: Between glaring grammatical errors, names being interchanged and the structure of the novel as a whole, it creates a difficult read. The grammar is ****** which, in theory, should make for an easy and quick read, instead weakeneds the story. The simplistic style highlights all the grammatical mistakes either the author or the translators have made. To be utterly cynical, it makes no sense for there to be as many mistakes as there are due to this being written in a language that is comfortably within the compass of a 10-year-old. They either need to put in more effort, have a new team pick this up or , heck, at this point I will take a freaking editor. All the pLinKesses are making me cringe. I cry bitter hot tears every time I read certain sentences.
STABILITY OF UPDATES: Personally, I do not have much of a preference on this. 10 chapters a week is neither a large amount nor a small amount. BUT, there are translators whom push out more chapters a week at a better quality then what we are reading here. If the translation was better I would be more forgiving, but due to simply mistakes I have to give them a poor rating. I am a fan of quality over quantity.
STORY DEVELOPMENT: The author needs to learn how to show NOT tell. The entire plot must have been carefully outlined, which makes for an excellent foundation, but fell flat in terms execution. The only details you will get is the author waxing a poetic paragraph over certain beautiful characters' appearance.
And the story so far plays out like a paint by numbers or an adventure quide: After reading to chapter 50, I found my attention slipping. I knew that A, B and C would happen and then we would see X result. Then, three chapters later, A, B and C would happen again and then X would, yet again (shocker, I know) be the result. Little to no variation.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: And then there is the narration. Because the writing is not enjoyable, the narration, in consequence, is not either. Plus, I feel extremely disconnected from the characters, especially the MC. I find myself not caring about the circumstances he finds himself in because there is no suspense. No chance of failure. Each step in Link's character progression is transparent and, worse yet, dull.
But not all is a complete waste, the author appears to have written himself into a corner with the MC's ability, making him too OP early on. To counteract this, he creates a system of magic where just because the MC gains the ability to cast spells does not mean he understands the logic and process behind his magic, placing a decent damper on MC's ability.
Unfortunately, this is short lived. The MC gains knowledge and understanding at an alarming rate. If you thought the game system, in which, he could purchase spells (Including Legendary, Hidden, ect.)was an OP ability, you are sorely mistaken. The MC's genius level intellect is in fact his largest cheat skill; gifting him the ability to process, plan and react to situations (some life and death), understand knowledge from the modern world he had difficulty understanding in his previous life and recall all information he so much had glanced at in his previous life (such as the forums). . . Relatable, right.
Whatever. Part of what makes s successful fantasy is the reader being able to suspend disbelief. If the MC either possessed the genius level intellect OR the gaming system, not both. Both skills balance each other out and compliment each other TOO well. He has no weakness. No faults. Nothing terribly interesting.
WORLD BACKGROUND: I find myself more interested in the world, the MC has been transported to the MC himself. Similar to the MC, the reader is drooped into the middle of the story, unlike the MC though we do not possess years of knowledge from gaming. Very little is explained unless the plot calls for it, then we are treated to an information dump on every single thing they hope will distract you long enough till MC's plot armour activates and Houdinis his way out of whatever situation of the week he has landed himself in. I still have little idea how powerful a level 1 is compared to a level 2 or even to a level 3 or 4. Levels are thrown out like yesterday's underwear and I am left with no proper explanation on how powerful someone really us, not just because they possessed a higher number.
FINAL ANALYSIS: Run. I would walk across the desert while eating charcoal briquettes soaked in Tabasco for forty days and forty nights than have to read this novel again.
If you were thinking of reading this, don't. I can't think of anyone that this would be a good read for. But then maybe that is me and if you do enjoy it, I'm glad you have find a good book for you!
