I enjoyed this book, especially the main character, who is outspoken, sarcastic, and feisty as hell. It’s got a good plot, and not overly cliched like many of the other books on this site. I give this 4 stars instead of 5 only because it could use some more editing (grammatical errors/typos).

There's a symbolism in this chapter that I can't stop thinking about, and it's the pendant. Lin Qingtang has worn her mother's jasmine flower necklace since childhood. Never once taken it off. And now, after being reborn, after dying and coming back, it's warm. "As though something hidden inside it was slowly awakening… Trying to communicate with her." The pendant represents everything she lost — her mother, her innocence, her previous life. But it's also a bridge to something new. The fact that it activates NOW, after her death and rebirth, suggests that the apocalypse isn't just a physical event but a spiritual one. The world is changing, and so is she. The necklace was dormant in a normal world but awakens in a world where death isn't the end. Then there's the soy milk. Long Juanli brings red date soy milk — her favorite — as an act of care. But in the previous life, this same gesture was part of the trap. The author is exploring a deeply unsettling theme: how betrayal often hides behind acts of love. The things people use to gain your trust are the same things that make the betrayal hurt more. "We're best friends" — Long Juanli says this while setting up a marriage proposal to her own brother. The word "trust" appears multiple times in this chapter, always in the mouth of the betrayer. "Someone with a trustworthy family." "You know I've already made sure he's trustworthy." Trust is the central wound here. But then there's the father-daughter relationship, which offers a counter-theme. Lin Shaoan doesn't need to perform love — he demonstrates it. He crouches beside her. He holds her. He remembers his wife's last words. His love isn't conditional on performance or manipulation. It's just there, steady and absolute. The chapter seems to be asking: what survives death? What is real? The pendant suggests the answer might be something supernatural — a connection to her mother, a power awakening. But it also suggests that love, true love, might be the one thing that transcends even the apocalypse.
Worst story it makes no sense
Wow, why aren't there more novels like this? It was incredibly adorable, beyond words to express. I fell in love with the story from the start. The protagonist, or shou, was just too precious; I wished I could bring him home and nurture him, he was that charming. Initially innocent, his intelligence shone through as he learned quickly.
The male lead (ML) also captured my heart - not your typical overbearing type, but a likable and friendly character. Their dynamic together was delightful to read.
I particularly enjoyed the scenes where our little tree character would crouch by a tree, dreaming of digging a hole to replant himself, it was such an endearing touch.
I wholeheartedly recommend this novel – every page had me grinning with joy.
I read about 150 chapters but I find the story kinda boring, the interactions kinda cringe especially the protagonist idk why but it's just how I feel reading this novel, that's it.
Edit: also the dialogue between various characters is too boring it's not so smooth like:
Atticus: "bla bla bla"
Three paragraph describing something extremely useless and than a single line in response,
Aurora: "yes u are right"
I'm like wth

Honestly, this is the most outstanding manhwa/novel I've had the pleasure of reading. The prose is exceptional, the storyline intricate yet captivating, and every character is expertly developed. It offers the familiar satisfaction of beloved tropes while skillfully subverting them. I am deeply fond of the female lead (FL) and male lead (ML), as well as the supporting cast. I wholeheartedly give it a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it to everyone.

No, the disaster world pretty much showcases Negary's brilliance and philosophy, it is also where most of the world building is done. It introduces many things to the picture, like how there are Main Characters blessed by the world etc.
