One of the most captivating infinite horror cycles I've come across thus far. It undoubtedly earns a spot in my top three favorites.
When it comes to character development, the main character (MC) initially displays a detached demeanor, prioritizing his own thrill-seeking. However, his sense of responsibility is rooted in the ethical principles instilled by his beloved nun. Although he may not actively assist others, he is committed to shouldering the consequences, ensuring their well-being when he can.
Regarding the male lead (ML), opinions may vary greatly. He embodies true villainy, devoid of any redeeming qualities. He is powerful, apathetic towards human life, capable of cold-blooded murder, torture, and destruction if necessary. Initially, his goal is to kill the MC, viewing it as a natural instinct. Yet, an unexpected turn occurs when he becomes infatuated with MC. Ultimately, ML chooses to let MC go, and in exchange, MC vows to be with him.
Whether you love or hate ML is entirely subjective. Personally, I find him intriguing.
Rating: 10/10 for both the novel's storytelling and character dynamics.

When seeing the synopsis I thought it was gonna be a MTL and not worth my time, but I like the idea of a dimensional chat room so I decided to give it a shot anyways. The translation is pretty good, and I didn’t check too far but at least for the start the translation will be pretty good. I haven’t actually read the story so I won’t say anything about it. Just saying this for anyone who might’ve been discouraged by the absolutely mangled synopsis.
You are exactly right which really really sucks because their magic systems are so intriguing its truly heartbreaking that such good world-building is ruined by unethical decisions
