IT was good. I'm waiting for another chapter.
This is a good read. No joke but I think Theo is a soft BOI.

such an amazing read! I love it
good storyline
The way this story uses physical spaces to reveal character is actually really clever, even if the descriptions aren't super lavish. The Red Horse Club isn't just a generic fancy venue—it's specifically described as a "secretive" place with private rooms, and it's where Qin Yi goes to feed his visual appetites while claiming it's for business intelligence. The contrast between that dim, exclusive club atmosphere and the bright, corporate transparency of the Yiwang Group offices creates this nice visual tension. I also love the café scene between Qin Yi and Yi Bohao—this is where everything shifts. The author sets it up with this whole internal monologue from Qin Yi where he's bracing himself for a dramatic confrontation, expecting Yi Bohao to throw coffee in his face or something. Instead Yi Bohao is just... nice? Polite? Offering advice? The awkward silence while they wait for coffee, the way they size each other up across the table—it's a scene that feels like a thriller disguised as a business meeting. And then there's Su Xiaowan's parents' villa, where Qin Nian Nian runs into the courtyard shouting "Grandpa! Grandma!"—this domestic warmth contrasts sharply with the cutthroat business world outside. The author also gives us the detail about Qin Yi's hometown being over six hours away by car, which makes the visit feel like a real intrusion into their carefully managed lives. These spaces aren't just backdrops, they're actively shaping how the characters behave and what secrets they keep.
It's a good read if you have nothing to do. Really like you have nothing to read
I wouldn't go out of my way to read it but if all my novels are finished and I am looking for something to read like a snack that I will try it
Academy arc ruined it
Yes, it's peak! Chapter 1 alone can hook you enough to read the rest
Okay, I'm liking it so far at chapter 19. And can someone tell me when is the MC going to do the deed with Amelia?
