The first and third story arcs are excellent, but unfortunately, there are also a few that tend to be quite dull. I often find myself skipping parts as the plot doesn't always appeal to me. As a result, I've had mixed feelings. Nevertheless, the story as a whole is worth recommending, so give it a try!

Which came out first, LoTM or Deep Sea Embers? Because one of the characters in 'Deep Sea Embers' has powers similar to one of Klein's power lol and I was flabbergasted when I read it.

man what a waste ... it felt like the author couldnt decide between a lot of things and kept going on whim during several core moments. I had a lot of fun until chapter 700 or so tho so i guess i kinda recomend it ? after that i hated everything

as a first time reader of the soul land series who has reached almost chapter 1000 of this great book, no, you do not. i plan on reading the previous 2 books after i finish this though. from what i heard there is around a 10,000 year difference between each book
This is highly overhyped. The writing style is convoluted and difficult to follow, making it challenging to discern who's speaking due to the exasperating handling of dialogue. The main character (MC) and their companions are at best unremarkable, and at worst, incredibly irritating in their behavior and thoughts surrounding the MC's situation.
