Cassandra Wright's unique heritage comes from both her father, who is a werevolve, and her mother, a witch-vampire hybrid. Unfortunately, her mother tragically chose to end her life to pass on her magical gift to Cassandra, as it was a burden she couldn't bear. This act of sacrifice left Cassandra with a powerful inheritance, but it also came with a heavy curse. Haunted by anxiety stemming from her uncontrollable powers and the emotional scars of her father's abuse, which escalated to the point of taking her life on her seventeenth birthday, Cassandra finds herself grappling with immense challenges. Enter her two potential mates, whose presence offers hope for guidance and support in mastering her abilities. However, the question remains: Will they be able to help her find control, or will her powers spiral out of control, threatening not only her own well-being but also the lives of those around her? As Cassandra navigates these complexities, another looming threat looms - the relentless pursuit of an army sent by her vengeful father. In this battle between her inner turmoil and external dangers, what will ultimately bring Cassandra to her knees - the overwhelming force of her abilities or the relentless pursuit that awaits?

Thoughtful, action packed, and dripping with feminist enabling leads. Totally unexpected side-characters also step into the light. Ending felt rushed, and change of POV felt like a first-person restriction. Pre-climax was confusing with too many planning details. I loved the women as allies theme.
