The_LastOne_OfThem
It's decent, with Volume 2 marking an improvement over the first, which can be quite dull. The first volume suffers from a weak main character, lack of direction, and sluggish pacing. Volume 2 shines in these areas.
In terms of writing and grammar, it's typical for a translated Eastern novel, so don't expect literary brilliance. The translations by Light Novels Translations are much better than those on Foxaholic. For casual readers from Novel Updates, the writing is passable and won't distract too much.
Characters-wise, the second volume introduces more well-rounded and distinct characters with more realistic behavior. The first volume's characters felt overly idealized and convenient, leaving me uninterested. Only a couple stood out.
The harem aspect is minimal for now, as the main character is still young. There seem to be two potential candidates, but the focus isn't on romantic entanglements. Given the author's previous work, we might see a similar setup here, with the MC having one main love interest while surrounded by women who admire him. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
I share many similarities with other readers in my appreciation and disapproval of this novel. Initially, I was captivated by its well-written and beautifully translated early chapters, which evoked strong emotions and even made me shed tears due to the compelling storytelling. However, as the story progressed, the characters and their actions became increasingly difficult to tolerate.
It seems that the fundamental values between the author and myself diverge significantly. I appreciate the author's clear endorsement of healthy lifestyles and rejection of restrictive clothing, but I found the constant leniency towards characters pushing boundaries and their lack of understanding of the concept of 'no' highly unpalatable. Despite being initially drawn by the emotional resonance in the beginning, the novel eventually turned into a frustrating read for me, leading to my low rating, despite my general inclination to rate positively.
Keep moving forward
The best thing about this novel is that the pets actually have a distinct personality, as well as the emojis
Well I also restarted ss. Rn rereading it.
Where are u from mate?
And nice to meet you <3
An enthralling romance novel with a unique twist – instead of the typical heroine-centric perspective, we delve into the story from two viewpoints, enhancing its intrigue. While the plot may not be overly complex, it remains captivating. Not to mention, the added touch of humor makes it truly enjoyable.
Well the writer has already finished writing it so you can think of it as an open ending or maybe he will elaborate in future stories as you know his stories happen in the same world I think their order is (not 100%sure):
Valerian empire
Heidi and the lord
Bambi and the duke
Belle Adam's butler
Master Damien's little pet
And lastly the crown's obsession
This novel is finished guys so enjoy
female lead is lazy but when she makes her moves she will never leave a problem behind. if your waiting pondering wether to read this or not, read it cause it's a great novel for me.
Well, if you've read the other good stuff like SS, TAPOV, and RI, you'll find them (I read this one before the rest, so for me it was ok.) But nothing too terrible tbh. Overall it's a good read, especially since the relationship with all the characters is wholesome. I honestly, don't remember much about the romance, but I think it was nice.
Genius club has been translated??
I'm skeptical.ost Chinese novels get boring and repetitive fast
