Hearing stuff like the “The River flows on the east for thirty years and ebbs on the west side for another thirty, one’s fate will constantly be changing. Don’t look down on the poor and bully them.” Taken so seriously is a mind f*ck. It’s supposed to be a gag or a joke in other novels yet reading it for the first time here, where its supposed to be heartfelt is a hella dxperience
It's an excellent read! I appreciate the characters; they're relatable as they aren't perfect, just ordinary individuals striving for a better life. The story begins with the main character (MC) traveling back in time, which leads to the male lead (ML) recalling their previous life where they were rejected due to MC's concern for his well-being. However, their love eventually wins, and they reunite. While the plot is heartwarming, there are moments of boredom due to excessive focus on business. The relationship between the characters is endearing, and there are no misunderstandings.
What I particularly enjoy is the exploration of their first lives and how they work towards making improvements, ultimately resulting in a happier outcome without any tragic endings. Everyone gets a satisfying conclusion, which is a delightful touch.

That's when I turned to the manga, which unfortunately lagged behind the anime, but I eventually caught up with the plot. Researching the title led me to discover this novel update page, and it marked a turning point for me.
I used to be an avid reader, but over time, my enthusiasm waned, and I found reading less appealing. But this particular story reignited my passion. Now, I devour manga, light novels, and web novels whenever I can, all thanks to this one exceptional tale. Of course, it's not without its flaws, but I appreciate it for its strengths and see that even its shortcomings are handled reasonably well, as far as I've observed.
I'm quite puzzled by the high praise for this novel. The plot feels overly contrived, especially with the villainess suddenly taking an interest in the protagonist after he innocently comments on her likability, despite knowing her facade. It's as if his offhand remark becomes the defining moment in her life, turning her into an obsession. Furthermore, her supposed "darkness" is nothing more than a desire for revenge – a common human response to perceived threats.
Another glaring issue is the illogical action sequences during their duel. The hero, using a wooden sword, nearly stabs the protagonist, but he magically gains strength and wins with a punch, disregarding basic physics. The logic behind his power activation, which boosts his strength based on life-threatening danger, also doesn't hold up; an intent to injure results in the highest boost, while others get lesser ones, leaving me bewildered.
These inconsistencies continue throughout the story, and it's clear that the protagonist's charm is exaggerated for readers who might be new to this genre. While I can understand how it might appeal to those unfamiliar with such narratives, personally, I find it hard to justify the high ratings.
