If you are someone who expects a description of all the food being cooked by the chef on a cooking novel, then this one is not for you.. But I personally like this novel as the MC uses his own personal skill and there is no system whatsoever that guides the chef like most of the cooking novels I read.. And he also exhibits other skills aside from cooking which makes this a fresh experience for me.. I have so far enjoyed the eccentric acts of the MC and the people around him.. A real good read for me..
The story is good for passing time but the mc is too cautiou almost like he is a coward , it’s annoying sometimes .
“Duan Ling Tian has arrived…The families precious Grade Eight Gold Injury Pill has such a strong effect!”
The mystery the romance, the devil. Clearly the perfect story plot.
i love this work and story line with full of mystery and love
This novel deserves 5 stars in nearly every aspect. The only 4 star was for the update rate, but you already explained the difficult circumstances you found yourself in and I understand that and wish you all the best for the healing process! :)I‘ve read countless web novels over the past years and I have to say that in comparison to them and the ones I read lately, this novel (and My Elf System) stands out exceptionally in so many ways. The world building, characters and their development, the action and lewd scenes and simply everything about it are so well thought out and written, that it captures the reader and leaves me wanting for more! Great work, dear author and please keep it up! I wish you all the best and am looking forward to future chapters.
I am completely captivated by this novel! From the very first page, I was drawn into a beautifully crafted world filled with rich, vibrant characters and an intricately woven plot. The author's storytelling is nothing sort of masterful, balancing moments of profound emotion with breathtaking suspense. Each chapter unfolded with such elegance and depth, making it impossible to put down. The way the themes of love, resilience and transformation were explored between Tian and Cynthia was so smooth and hence leaving a lasting impact on me. This novel, being a very first novel of yours, is nothing but a TRUE GEM for me and I am grateful for the journey it took on me. Thank you for creating a beautiful and transformative piece of literature. I can't wait to read more of your work in the future and seeing you shining brightly above there in the world of Novelists. ??✨️✨️Lastly, I Love You and Your Work and I wish you all my luck possible to see you so successful and best in your life. This novel is so close to me and I hope that one day everyone will be sharing the same thoughts as me. ??❤️
Review done at chapter 40. Honestly this novel is just a cookie-cutter version of other novels in this genre. The story is running at 1000 mph, often resulting in mistakes or plot holes that can take one out of the story. This results in characters just being cardboard cutouts of people or being thrown to the side, such as the MC’s family. Additionally, the MC is just not engaging or interesting in my opinion, he feels like an empty vessel just being dragged around by the story, rarely facing any pushback or opportunities to really grow outside of fake raising his stats. I say fake because while he upgrades his stats, he still feels like the same person. Despite having intelligence stats 10x stronger than the average human, he sounds and acts like a clueless bumpkin most of the time that impulsively does things. Also this story is kinda predictable that there’s rarely any unique twists to this story. It feels like I’m reading a lower version of Getting a Technology System in The Modern Day. Honestly I would say if you like this genre that story is 10x more thought out than this one and characters are more interesting.
It is a compiled zombie stories that have been read and created by different authors all over the world. It is interesting to read on as each chapter holds a new story to be told. Mainly it is about zombies.
"Thwack… thwack…" I need to talk about this scene because my heart is literally racing just thinking about it. Shen Nanxing lying face down on that bench, his clothes soaked through with sweat and blood, and Jiang Jinshu standing to the side with a handkerchief covering what might be the smallest smile. The emotional complexity here is insane. On one level, this is a revenge fantasy—Jiang Jinshu finally getting the upper hand, watching the man who humiliated her suffer. But on another level, there's something deeply tragic about the fact that it took public humiliation and physical pain for anyone to take her seriously. Look at Su Yunyan's performance during the caning. She's standing there, face pale, hands twisting her clothes, calling out "Brother…" with tears streaming down her face. Is she genuinely worried? Or is she performing concern because that's what a virtuous concubine is supposed to do? The text leaves it ambiguous, and that ambiguity is what makes it so painful. Because the real tragedy isn't just that Shen Nanxing and Su Yunyan had an affair—it's that the entire system allowed them to treat Jiang Jinshu as disposable. The noblewomen in the courtyard aren't there because they care about Jiang Jinshu. They're there because Shen Nanxing's behavior threatens their own positions as lawful wives. "Searching across the entire Da Zhou, or even the whole world, one would be hard-pressed to find someone as shameless as General Shen." Zhou Shiyu's line isn't about justice for Jiang Jinshu—it's about protecting the institution of marriage from men who refuse to respect it. And yet, Jiang Jinshu uses this systemic support to her advantage. She doesn't ask for sympathy; she weaponizes the social pressure. The most emotionally devastating moment for me though? When Jiang Jinshu tells Su Yunyan: "From now on, you must behave properly and focus on nurturing your pregnancy. Do not cause any more trouble for my husband." She's not begging. She's not crying. She's giving orders to the woman who stole her husband, and the power in that moment is intoxicating. But then there's the quiet moment with Caiping, where Jiang Jinshu looks at her reflection and says, "In the past I was blind and foolish, failing to see that those two despicable individuals had long been entangled together." That's not just anger—that's grief. She's mourning the years she wasted loving someone who was never truly hers. And I couldn't stop thinking about that line: "Shenjia. This is only the beginning. The real show is yet to come." The emotional journey isn't over. It's just getting started.
The book is the then same with rebirth, same Mc, Same harem ,same villain , slightly different arcs but all in all same story. Name of the Mc and Mc's first wife is the same. Though still an interesting story.
mediocre, very cliché .... without tension the opponents are very bland and are also always weaker than the main character.......................................................................
