Awesome Book!! keeps you on your toes
When it’s the next update coming up ?
Amazing job author!
I’m not dropping a single gem anymore for this book , over 400 chapters and we keep going back and forth
This novel appears decent on the surface, but it fails on multiple levels. The sole redeeming feature is the interactions between the main character (MC) and the heroines, though even these fall short of being exceptional. Characters are too accepting; they readily believe the MC when he suddenly acquires a multitude of skills out of nowhere, such as progressing from 'Novice' to 'Martial Arts Master' in just a few hours, attributing it simply to 'talent.' The MC’s ease in obtaining everything and subsequently flaunting it feels unsatisfying.
Another significant issue is the lack of detail. Female characters are often described similarly, with only minor distinctions. The author fails to provide ages for the characters, and the story suffers from a lack of clarity due to insufficient details.
The biggest problem, however, is the poor writing. Transitions are weak, and some parts of the story are missing or disconnected. For instance, the author revised certain sections in a chapter, but subsequent chapters still reference content that was removed, leading to inconsistencies.
There’s much more to critique, but I’ll summarize the key points:
- **Decent schemes and psychological manipulation.**
- **A bland system.**
- **Heroines with distinct personalities.**
- **Side characters lacking significance in the story.**
- **An overpowered/omniscient MC, with antagonists unable to pose any real threat.**
- **Non-existent worldbuilding.**
- **MC’s preference for virgins.**
- **MC is not a simp.**
- **MC enjoys tormenting some girls.**
- **90% of named characters are women.**
- **Frequent coincidences.**
If you’ve read "I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain," you likely won’t enjoy this as much. "Gao Fushai" feels like a discounted version of that novel. My initial expectations were high, but the story didn’t live up to the 5-star reviews. , I’d rate this story between 2.5 and 3.5 stars, but I’ll be generous and give it 3.5/5. My advice: read it without expectations, and you might find it enjoyable. Don’t be like me.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this; each chapter was a delightful treat. Unlike other novels that can have an emotional rollercoaster, this one exudes warmth and joy, tugging at the heartstrings without overwhelming. There's just the right amount of sentiment to fully engage with, and despite not having finished all the chapters, I've grown quite fond of it (I'm eagerly awaiting more updates).
Changyi is a character I adore - where can we find such a gem in real life? The progression of Ting's character development throughout the story is organic and natural, without feeling forced or contrived. It's a beautiful, heartwarming journey.
In summary, this is an exceptional read, a standout in its genre. Thank you to the author and translators for bringing this touching tale to life. ❤️
The protagonist behaves authentically as a contemporary Japanese character, which is fitting for the setting. However, the secondary characters, particularly the antagonists, exhibit a decent level of "Chineseness" that aligns with an imperial harem theme. Alas, many of the protagonists come across as too laid-back or perhaps overly rational, which doesn't quite resonate with the typical dynamics of a Chinese-centric story. I've encountered numerous narratives where characters lose common sense and act foolishly when fixated on a single objective.
Lol well I'm here to help
How are you gonna say that the comments don’t recommend good novels and say SS, RI, and supremacy games lol. Pretty sure these four and LoTMs have the most die hard fans in the comments. I would be reading some random rank 800 novels and see a spoiler for SS
I was thinking about it but y'all think sunny will become a sovereign at what age ?
Ch.135 onwards is MTL. It isn't terrible but you'll have to do some mental fixing to get the meaning of some lines.
Story is good at start, quite a bit unique, but around 400 chap become ur typical character and become unbearable to read just. It become your average op mc, less action, and the fight scene were divided by each pov really waste of time and the author keep putting the stat sheet which take more chap, I know I'm in the wrong and I might be j*ck*ss but... I'm so glad I didn't pay any chap cuz author only care about word count I know he need for the living, but no one would really love his book if he keep doing like this, also the dialogue becomes weird some times, I feel like his talking about to us and try to justify his actions. I really like at the start cuz his personality reminds Anthony from CHRYSALIS but after 300, I feel like he becomes hypocrite, I don't know why I feel that way also her wife benedal of what ever, become extremely annoying, i like her her name, at start but her constant jealous to any women that try get at mc is annoying. Sorry for my bad grammar 1 ⭐ for me
