Great book, gets you hooked. I understand the writer wants to get things right before posting but when it's this good it's hard to wait long.

I need to talk about the Zhan Qin introduction scene because WOW. "Her small pearl-adorned phoenix-head shoes lightly tapped against his official boots, as harmless as a bird pecking at someone." This single line contains an entire universe of romantic comedy energy. She's trying to be intimidating and it comes out as adorable. And his reaction? He just stands there, watches her flee "like a startled sparrow," and smooths the wrinkles on his lapel where she bumped into him. THAT IS EVERYTHING. The author doesn't give us a single romantic confession between these two yet, but the chemistry is already there — it's in the physical details. The warmth of his fingertips on her wrist. The calloused skin she can still feel. The way she replays the moment over and over while holding her teacup. This is what I live for. But honestly? The most emotionally rich moment isn't even romantic — it's Rong Li's conversation with her mother. The Empress, who is "the decisive and formidable empress on the imperial court," becomes "nothing more than an ordinary mother" before her daughter. That shift in tone, that tenderness — it made my heart ache a little. And then the mother weaponizes that tenderness by essentially saying "fix this with your husband or I'll find you someone else." Oof. Rong Li's internal monologue after the physician's explanation is pure comedy gold and also deeply sad. She's trapped between embarrassment, duty, and this growing realization that her marriage might actually mean something. "Then... then let it be the Imperial Consort" — whispered from behind bed curtains, tossed a pillow at the same time. She's so flustered she can't even be dignified about it.

I don't know how many chapters does this Joshua & Luna to have a happy ending but it's getting more dragging, I think the character of Luna is becoming her the Lunatic..
After reading the prologue, I'm now excited to reach the epilogue
