It's a pretty simple novel, overall, but I enjoy it a good bit. It has several cute points. The conflicts are annoying, but not excessively, I don't think. I think it's somewhat realistic. Not everyone will like you even if you're perfect.I'd read more if I could.

I need to talk about Feng Buji because honestly I am still fuming. This man went from being Xiao Mingyue's childhood sweetheart to some absolute stranger in the span of seven chapters and it physically hurts. Let me just say this upfront: he is garbage. Not the romantic, misunderstood kind of garbage that novels try to make us sympathize with. Just straight-up terrible human being. The way he carries Hua Heng in his arms in front of his own betrothed — he's a germaphobe who never shares a carriage with anyone, remember? That detail matters. It matters so much because it shows us exactly how extraordinary his treatment of Hua Heng is. And then he looks at Xiao Mingyue with this coldness while doing it. The text says he "visibly froze" when he saw her, which I read as genuine shock that she was still waiting for him, still believing in whatever they had. But instead of explaining anything, instead of even trying — nothing. He just walks past her like she's furniture. And Hua Heng! Oh my god, Hua Heng is the worst kind of antagonist. She doesn't just want the man, she wants to erase the other woman entirely. The scene where she taunts Xiao Mingyue about having sex with Feng Buji — "I managed to claim his body long before you did" — that is pure venom wrapped in a smile. She reads their letters. She READ THEIR LETTERS. That's not just scheming, that's a deep, personal hatred for Xiao Mingyue's existence. But what really gets me is Xiao Mingyue's reaction. She doesn't fight. She doesn't scream. She just stands there absorbing every insult, every betrayal, while her maid Xiaochun is the one actually fighting for her. There's a moment where Xiao Mingyue thinks "So over these past dozen years, has he truly fallen in love with someone else?" and I just — I couldn't breathe. Twelve years. Twelve years of waiting, of embroidering wedding veils, of believing in promises. And Hua Heng gets it all with a single pregnancy. The power dynamic between these three is absolutely suffocating. Feng Buji holds all the authority, Hua Heng weaponizes her vulnerability, and Xiao Mingyue is trapped between them with nothing but her dignity. Which, by the way, is rapidly disappearing. What do you even do when the man you've loved your entire life looks at you like you're nothing?

This book is so boring and nothing new. The author has 0 creativity! The story revolve around the main character, going to new places to level up, kill all the enemies and move on! The story line is so bad it will shock you for 3days and 3nights! (Often use my the author)
