After reading up to chapter 220, I can say that this story is the uncrowned number one novel on this website. The writing is very well done with a very satisfying flow and pace. There are no fillers and no repetition. Each chapter is a delight to read and the source of incrutiating pain (because we have to wait for the next chapter).The world building unravels as the story progresses and it makes sense. There is some plot armor but it is very light armor as it is justified by the previous knowledge of MC.The enemies don't talk for the sake of talking and there is no stupid evil person offending the MC with no concrete benefit unlike many other stories.The translation quality is top notch and is stable. We wish there would be one or two more chapters per week but hey, we can't have everything we want in life I guess.Overall, I can't wait to read more and wish to thank everyone involved in bringing this magnificent story to all of us. The beginning is awesome, read all the way till he stays in the Sect, after that drop the novel completely and enjoy sweet dreams, if you continue reading, you'll wish to kill the author like I do. Never have I once tried to drop a novel till now. This **** is pure crap. Need at least 500 more Chapters before it MIGHT get good.
The story started off amazing with great characters and storyline up until the "4 years later" part. After this it felt a little like the writer wanted to end the story quickly or didn't know what else to write. There are quite a few spelling errors but you can still read it easily.
I don't always write reviews, but when I do, it's either because the novel is really good, or really bad. Despite all the positive reviews, in my opinion, this belongs in the latter.First of all, the positive. The world background is unique, and certainly above average. The relationship between characters is decent. Now, the bad things.The most important thing, the humor. While I did chuckled once in awhile, for the most part, it's just painful to read. The author tried too hard to force the comedy. The parts where it should be serious, the author still tried to add humor. All the Elders and Sect Leader acts like a bunch of 12 yearsold. There are certain situations where comedy comes from surprise or the suddenness of the situation. However, the way this novel is written completely take away the surprise part and ruin the humor. Most importantly, I don't know if it's the translator or the author, but using vulgarities to force the humor is just immature. Conversations between characters are completely devoid of witticism. Characters swore and cursed at each other is just...tasteless. Once in a blue moon, it sort of worked, but the rest of the time, it's just overdone and became vulgar instead. Sometimes, the vulgarities even ruined the part where it's actually funny. Let me give you an example, the MC were talking with a girl about how bad his Master was. The conversation were going just fine, then he dropped a sentence along the line "you might aswell tell me to masturbate over my Master getting gang raped"....It's not like i'm over sensitive, but it's just tasteless. That is just pure vulgarity, not comedy. If you want an actual humorous xanxia, try A Will Eternal. This novel is just a really bland and vulgar slapstick comedy.
So GGP goes and picks up a Novel, Promising 10 chapter a week, so we can see why Demons Diary was cut down to 1 or 2 chapters every 2-3 weeksAlso, For the love of god stop using Pinyin terms, just Translate them, Its not as bad as "World of Cultivation"'s Translation, But its still pretty annoyingIn any case, its an IET Story, So its going to be a fun ride, i dont think its Going to have any relation to Stellar transformations characters until near the end (much like his older stories)
