hahahahha man~, sounds like something I'll hate
I came across this story a few times, unsure if I should read it due to mixed reviews. Ultimately, I decided to give it a chance, but after a few chapters, I found it unsatisfactory and abandoned it. Since I didn't finish, it's difficult for me to label it as either good or bad. However, there were a couple of aspects that bothered me:
1. The Original Female (FL) character seemed to have a haughty demeanor, reminiscent of a green tea *b*tch, but the author tried to present her in a way that didn't align with her portrayal in the story, which felt off.
2. The concept of the male leads regaining their memories from their previous lives was hard to swallow, and their sudden clinginess towards the main character felt contrived and unrealistic.
In summary, the premise had potential, but the execution fell short. A more assertive main character and eliminating the unnecessary reverse harem would likely result in a more compelling narrative.

I remember reading this and I love it! The male lead is very indifferent and quite cold at first, but once he realizes his feelings, he becomes incredibly romantic in pursuing her. Personally, I really enjoy the female lead's personality, so overall, this is a fluffy read that's perfect for passing the time.
The story was generally enjoyable, with the couple complementing each other well and maintaining a positive dynamic for most of the narrative. However, there were communication issues between them. The plot wasn't overly complex, and the supporting characters, despite some disappearing acts, had distinct personalities. The main character, the general, wasn't overly domineering or toxic, which was refreshing compared to typical ML portrayals.
While I appreciated the general's nonchalant attitude towards the title "husband" (versus "wife"), I found the prince's constant joking about the concubine Gu to be off-putting, especially given his earlier respect for the general. Unfortunately, the book lost points for its blatant colorism, using dark skin as an insult rather than simply describing someone differently.
After the climax, the story became monotonous. One redeeming aspect was the prince's gradual acceptance of their changed circumstances, which progressed at a reasonable pace and felt realistic. However, I disliked the shift in the couple's dynamics after they were together. The prince's higher libido and lack of interest during intimate moments felt forced, and the relationship lacked warmth. Additionally, the male lead's excessive groveling and a decline in his intelligence detracted from the balance they initially shared.
Overall, the story had its strengths but fell short in certain areas, particularly in its treatment of race and character development post-relationship.

The beginning was indeed exhilarating, but the middle section became tiresome, especially when reading through machine translation. I felt a sense of relief as I approached the climax.
Despite the fatigue, the plot progression was well-structured, gradually revealing hidden secrets and building up to a satisfying finale. The main character (MC) was initially knowledgeable but lacked physical prowess; he grew stronger over time by disappearing to other realms whenever conflicts arose. While I found the MC somewhat bland compared to other witty protagonists, his calm demeanor was appealing. His character development made sense given his long life.
The novel primarily focuses on cultivation, so the romantic relationship between the MC and the love interest (ML) progresses slowly, leaving readers wanting for more intimate moments, or "dog food." However, their interactions were heartwarming and genuine.
One aspect I appreciated was the limited reliance on confrontational scenes, as the MC demonstrated magnanimity, wisdom, and a softer side. This resulted in less memorable antagonists throughout the story. Surprisingly, it was actually the talking blue chicken, Jiji, who seemed to drive the narrative forward - quite an unexpected twist!
