Let me be real with you for a second—the stakes in this passage are deceptively high. On the surface, it's a romance. A guy calls a girl. They go on a date. What could go wrong? But if you actually read between the lines, the conflict here is brutal. Shu Jia has already established that she's been looking at Zhou Dang from below for a LONG time. She's the support player; he's the ADC god. She runs a small dessert shop; he's LPL's most famous player. The power imbalance isn't just social—it's structural. Every interaction she has with him is already tilted. And yet she goes anyway. That's the conflict. Not "will they or won't they"—that's too simple. The real conflict is "what does she risk by wanting this?" The Weibo search scene is the most revealing moment in the entire passage. She literally googles his ideal type and finds an article saying he has none because he's devoted to his career. And her reaction isn't anger or determination—it's defeat. "She lost all confidence." That's not a girl who's about to get her heart broken; that's a girl who's already been broken and is doing the math on whether it's worth it again. Zhou Dang's side of the conflict is different but equally high-stakes. He's a professional athlete whose entire brand is built on being cold, untouchable, focused. The fact that he's calling a girl at 2 AM, agreeing to a date in the rain, staying up until 5 AM thinking about her—this is him risking his carefully constructed persona. If he's caught, if it becomes public, if it affects his team... the stakes are career-level. The fingertip brush at the end isn't just romantic tension. It's the moment where both of them cross a line they can't uncross. There's no going back to "just gaming together" after this. The stakes just went from emotional to irreversible.
Okay so I have to talk about the opening scene here because it genuinely gave me cinematic vibes. Gu Shiyi waking up before dawn, the sky showing that faint white light at the horizon — you could practically feel the chill in the air. And then the mountain path description? Rugged, uneven, filled with rocks and potholes. It made me feel like I was trudging along right beside her. The author didn't overdo it, just dropped these details naturally and the world felt real. Then she arrives at Xiahe Village and there's this quiet moment — smoke rising from chimneys, the autumn harvest just passed, empty farmland, occasional birds. It's so peaceful compared to what must be her usual solitary mountain life. And then the county town hits different. Zuixiang Tower with the shopkeeper clicking away at his abacus, the bustling market with villagers from all around. The transition from silent mountain to noisy market was so well done. One line that stuck with me: "Smoke was rising from some chimneys, giving the place a quiet and peaceful atmosphere." That's it. That's the whole vibe. The author knows how to paint a scene without drowning you in description. Every location had its own texture — the cave, the mountain trail, the village, the restaurant, the market. I felt like I could map this world in my head after reading.
I AM INVESTING IN THIS YOU BETTER NOT DISAPPOINT I EXPECT 300+ CHAPTERS DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME
Unashamed author here :)Writing a review for your own book is not easy, so if you have any questions about the novel, you can leave them in the comments!- "First of all, what is this book about?" It's about a guy named Kaido who accidentally went back in time to his previous self-body. Trying to correct and change things that once happened from occurring again from going the way it did before- "What type of guy is Kaido?" He is a cynical, easily angry man with a overall hatred for the world on life. But! He has a sense of humor and a strong desire to not only survive but also thrive in this world. You'll like him, I promise.- "Will he be overpowered?" No. He will certainly become powerful, but not powerful enough kill and clear every obstacle in his way like a God or something.- "Will there be romance?" Yes, but a slow one.-When I mean romance I'm not saying Harem please note.- "How often are you updating?" Currently, I'm dedicated to writing one/two chapter every day. The amount may increase, it depends on a lot of factors. Like my schooling and Work- And, finally... "Aren't you too full of yourself? You rated your book almost five stars!" What can I say, It's the best book have ever written, "ooh wait it's my only book here" Yes, it's my only book and still my best one. If you don't believe me do well to check it out.Mentor ; Guilitythree.

So then, let's begin with my own EXTREMELY OBJECTIVE analysis.Objectively speaking, my book is, of course, the best. No one will ever write a better one. Clear as day.Jokes aside, here's my assessment:Characters:Not bad, but far from good enough. The emotions are somewhat lacking, and a unique way of speaking would improve them.On the positive side, they have their own personalities and don’t just revolve around the MC.Worldbuilding:I’m proud of this. It becomes clearer as the story progresses—maybe in Volume 2 or 3. But I’ve put an incredible amount of effort into it.Story:It’s not bad, but it could have been developed a bit more.Overall, I think I’ve done a good job, but not a great one. There’s still a lot of room for improvement.By the way, it’s a rather slow-paced novel. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me!
He killed the protagonist because he couldn't find another way. He became very sigma mastermind. He is now cooking?
Awesome! Keep it up.
Characters building is just ? I like the way writer is continuing the story of the supporting characters as well and it makes the story interesting because when story revolves around the main characters, the reading is getting boring.
