Elliott is a dick gabe needs to take him out.....
This is the kind of dialogue that makes you want to highlight everything. Each character has such a distinct voice that I could tell who was speaking just from the sentence structure and word choice. Madam Zhang's dialogue is all commands and accusations — short, sharp, dripping with entitlement. "Go get dinner ready! Do you want your man to come home and starve?" She doesn't ask. She doesn't negotiate. She commands, and she expects obedience. Even when she's losing, she sounds like she's still in charge. Mrs. Lyu is the opposite — all wailing and performative victimhood. "Oh, my little heart, my Tianbao! Which accursed person bullied you?" She's a caricature of a doting mother, and the author makes no apology for it. The fact that her son is literally the bully and she still plays the grieving parent is both hilarious and infuriating. But Aunt Liu is where the dialogue really shines. Her speech patterns shift dramatically across these chapters. At first, she's terse, controlled. By the time she explodes, her sentences run long and raw, piling one grievance on top of another like she's been holding them in for years and they're finally pouring out. "I treat him as a nephew, but did he treat Xiao Yu as a sister?" — that's not just dialogue, that's a indictment. And Shen Qingru? Her dialogue is always measured, always precise. Even when she's being cutting, she's calm. "If you didn't see, then don't speak carelessly, lest people mistake you for a busybody." That line is a sword wrapped in silk. The author clearly understands that how a character speaks reveals everything about who they are, and nobody here is an exception.
Great book
It would be nice to get an update. what would be nicer would be an ending.
The general idea of the story was interesting but the writing was lacking and there were many plot holes. The ending was rushed, too. The book was full of grammatical and spelling errors that were distracting and made the story less enjoyable to read. With intense editing, this book could be better.
Need more chapters
it was short need more content.
