I really like the idea of this Novel. The charakters definitely have potential and the whole "world background" too, that is why I would really appreciate if this Novel keeps on going. Hence the 5 Stars review and since there are only 32 Chapters currently, it is only the beginning.I also don't get why people already "badmouth" this Novel, at least some people. There is plenty of room for explanations. If people would just think a little about it, they could even come up with an explanation for themselves and see in the end, what the author comes up with. That is part of the fun in reading, isn't it?I myself have probably already made way too much assumptions why this or that is happening to the MC. And as I said bevor, I really like it ^^Sooo please keep going and I wish you the best..

I'm still thinking about how the pacing works in these chapters. The author just... drops you into the middle of a family brawl and doesn't let up. Lin Wan vs. Old Madam Lu — the rolling pin swing, the bowl being hurled, the old woman fleeing — it's all so fast and chaotic. And then immediately after, you cut to the next morning and Lin Wan is peacefully gathering herbs with Lu Mingliang. No transition, no "meanwhile," just straight into a completely different tone. That's bold. Most authors would give you a breather chapter after something that intense, but this one just keeps moving. And honestly? It works. The herb-gathering section is slower, more meditative — you get to see Lin Wan's competence, her knowledge of traditional medicine, her interaction with the system (39/999). It's a relief after the kitchen showdown. Then just when you think things have settled, Lu Zhengting appears under that tree with the roses, hands her Doctor Jin's notebook, and suddenly there's this quiet romantic tension building. The chapter ends with Old Madam Lu locked out of the kitchen, screaming about her soybean oil while Lin Wan stir-fries vegetables behind a tied door. It's almost comedic at that point. The author knows exactly when to ramp up tension and when to let you breathe. The only thing I'd question is whether the system dialogue (39's dramatic whining) sometimes pulls you out of the scene, but honestly it's a minor note in an otherwise well-paced sequence.
