Really boring i've read till chapter 39 and he still has no powers or anything, he seems to have found some sort of energy but that's it, all in all very boring and slow even the investigation of the murder is boring, also it seems that after chapter 40 webnovel does the trick where it wants you to pay for machine translated content, I've not really checked since i'm already bored after 39 chapters of nothing.

First 9 chapters are nearly unbearable due to the absolutely moronic behavior from every character shown such as:-Dude has super rare ability of map/strategize evolution routes but doing so consumes his evo potential... so he proceeds to spend about 1/3 of his points before saying, "Wait, I can't use any of those paths/combinations since I don't have to genes."-Dispite all the technology and progress in humanity, the people in charge of assigning 'trash' fates to the BILLIONS of people do so in person... at their dinner tables... through holographic calls.... Who would even EAT AT A DINNER TABLE in the future so why wait for that instead of email/messenger type communications or just having the bloody schools had out the info at their computer desk... like what??-Advance space faring civilization, believes a student cheated on test so the classroom of CHILDREN with their teacher proceed to go over his questions that the holographic quantum computer graded as correct as if they people who NEEDED to prove their intellengce and correct an ai.-Story constantly states that higher evolution equates to light speed thought process and even more accurate memory functions, everyone assumes its possible for a barely super human [0.4] to vastly outpace a 2.2 super human in the test like it makes more sense than other options so they redicule/threaten/prevent said student from gene test.

I can't find much to criticize in this novel. The beginning is a little cliche, but after that it's interesting. I would say it's similar to Monster Pet Evolution with some elements of Building the Utlimate Fantasy (Specifically the part where random important people are summoned and are given opportunities to improve their strength). I would say it's a decent novel considering all the other alternatives released this week
A really fun and light-heated novel. The MC is never in any real danger because of his cautious nature, so we get to see a lot of face-slapping comedy and light twists and turns.The real star of this novel is the cultivation system. Unlike most other xianxia novels that have some generic cultivation system that's really any more complicated than "accumulate qi and pop pills" for every single cultivation realm, this one actually goes in depth. Each realm has meaning and makes sense, the power he gains is never nerfed by stupid power creep, so that what he gains early on still remains as powerful and useful as later on. Overall, an amazing book that I'd definitely recommend to anyone who likes to explore the concepts of immortal cultivation. Cheers!
Had been enjoying it a lot for the first 25 or something chapters.A wish fulfilment type investigation novel with no romance contrary to the title.Then came the Japanese hospital?.. now dropping it at chapter 27. Gonna check again in the future, if selected, whether it is a one time thing or not.
