I suggest everyone give the novel a chance. The novel does start off awkwardly, but the author seems to pick up a sense of direction not too long after. There are several ideas that the author wants to bring to fruition, and they are very ambitious. It'll be interesting to see how the author handles it.
In terms of the MC: The MC is awkwardly developed in the beginning, but you start to accept the MC's change rather quickly. It's like how Miley Cyrus went from how she was in Hannah Montana to her song Wrecking Ball.
In terms of kingdom building: It's fast in the beginning; because the author has many ambitious ideas that he wants to start on. But, the story does slow down to a nice pace later.
This book is one of a kind…well written full of suspense and thrill. Not a floppy romance story where the leading character always festured as an underdog, no backbone…at least Liliana is portrayed with integrity and humbleness .........
