I keep coming back to the animal imagery in these chapters and it's honestly remarkable how layered it is. The cat motif is everywhere. Xin Ling is repeatedly referred to as a "little wildcat" or just "cat"—first by Lu Jinzhi when he says "The cat I wanted to raise ran away," and earlier when he calls her a "little wildcat" who didn't keep her word. Cats are independent, elusive, hard to domesticate. That's exactly who Xin Ling is trying to be—untouchable, free—but she's trapped in a gilded cage of her own making. Then there's the wolf imagery. Lu Jinzhi is explicitly called a wolf in gentleman's clothing. Wolves are predators, but they're also loyal to their pack in their own way. There's something almost tender underneath his predatory behavior—he's not just using her, he's claiming her. The possessiveness reads as both threatening and strangely devoted. And Lu Ziyao? He's compared to a toad. "A toad lusting after swan meat." But the irony is—he's the one WITHOUT self-awareness. He thinks Xin Ling is the toad, but he's the one who can't see his own worthlessness. His friends flatter him into believing he's a swan, but he's just a loud frog croaking in a pond. The red plum blossom imagery at the beginning is another layer—beauty subjected to violence, elegance crushed by force. It's a metaphor for Xin Ling herself: delicate, beautiful, but caught in circumstances that strip her of agency. There's also the recurring theme of masks and performances. Lu Jinzhi performs the composed heir while being a predator. Xin Ling performs the obedient girl while harboring a secret mission. Lu Ziyao performs the charming playboy while being cruel and empty. Everyone in this story is wearing a mask, and the question is: who takes theirs off first?
Another story where the guy does not tell the girl that he actually loves her. He have some sort of expectation but never verbalise it... if you dont tell people what is in your head do you think they will by some miracle be able to read you mind? Dropping it after a few chapters
Not going to lie, I was not expecting much due to the title, but man did it somehow deliver. It's a hidden gem under the guise of an incredibly unappealing title. [Writing Quality] is extremely good. Far better than most from this website, I don't think anyone would have trouble reading it. And the [Stability of Updates] speak for themselves, with having more than 60+ chapters posted in the past three days.I think the plot's pretty good too. It's about mc possessing a minor villain of a game he played and makes use of his knowledge of the game to get legendary items at the start like his Sharingan. The world in of itself also seems to be similar to the Webnovel [The Author's POV]. It's a fantasy academy novel with swords and mana but also modern tech like virtual reality. Power system and abilities are classified in the standard SSS to F class and whatnot.Overall, was a good read and a great find.
I like the story but for new readers, i suggest let this one marinate. its really too early and the chapters are pretty short. It has unique power systems and abilities which aren't all that common in stories. The story uses a bit of religious thematics for explain a perticular character very early on which was kinda unique for a story i thought was just a generic harem Pokémon collector. i do hope author can stay true to the original premise rather do some powerfantasy galaxy busting planet destroying stuff. I dont mind if its done sparringly ig and not for the sake of creating higher realms after higher relams for the sake of the 'powerscaling' and trying to make the op'est mc of all time.Almost all story just create mindnumbing garbage story where neither readers or author himself has a clue to how to make fights that high level . and as to why this character is truly stronger then that character other then just an arbitrary name tag of this level beats that level.i was kinda all over the place with that but the gist is, story starts with the premise of mc wanting to become the greatest harem protag of all time, so the focus should be on that. power levels and fight is second.
Ara....oh my Ara,? such a naughty and petty character. I love the story settings and character building..it is a great read. I don't really fancy this kind of story, but you see this one...I'm stucked.
I would really love for this novel to happen. Its a phenomenal start and I'm sure it will not disappoint when it is completed, so please continue this work!
Amazing it’s the first story were it feels like it could actually happen . Every part of it is feels real the story has allot of potential and the author is using it in a creative way And the more you read the more you see it’s uniqueness i am sure that any experienced reader will be happily surprised. If there is any changes I will updated the review in the comments
I just started this story but so far I am impressed with what I have seen. The ML is sooo relatable. If I was a business executive and got shot by who was supposed to be my best friend or best colleague and then woke up in someone else's body, I would be so confused too. Like, what the heck?I like the author did not just rush into the story but took their time to ease their character into his element. And the subtle hints here and there, super! I am glad I can found this book and all I can say for now is MORE CHAPTERS! PLEASE!
Hi guys Author here I'm currently busy with my exams , that's why I haven't been updating the book , once I'm done , I'll start updating the chapters .thanks guys
Started reading it for the free pass but got hooked on the story. I hope that the book will be completed fast & quick as it is already clear to me that ML wants FL, who has yet to divorce — too many twists & turns may just turn this into one of the usual books on Webnovel, which would be a shame as it started out quite unique, novel and interesting. I look forward to the next chapters, Author!?
did the trial read disappear after update
good work for the author it's a very good novel
