"Li Lian!" Someone shouted her name from the passageway and Le-anne scrambled up.

Soon enough, we enter the chamber, and witness the rest of our party fighting another pack of modified trolls. Seeing this sight, Karl immediately throws me, along with all the romantic tension I felt, to the ground, while simultaneously unsheathing his blade and charging at the trolls.
"How do you see it?"
I need to talk about the atmosphere in Chapter 6 because the author absolutely CRUSHED it. "Passing through a long, deep palace corridor, they could see towering, mottled red-brick walls on both sides, reaching high into the clouds and inspiring awe." — This line alone gave me such a strong sense of scale and oppression. The palace isn't just a backdrop; it's a character. Those walls closing in on both sides, the deep corridor, the sheer verticality—it makes you feel how small any individual is against the weight of imperial power. And then the Emperor Emeritus's chamber. The beaded curtain. The rows of kneeling imperial physicians trembling. The frail Imperial Noble Consort Xiaoxian half-leaning over the bed, tears streaming. The Emperor Emeritus himself—"face was serene, his slightly parted lips tinged with red. Though his breath was faint, he showed none of the gaunt, sickly appearance of someone afflicted by illness or nearing death." THAT detail about his face not matching his condition? That's the author whispering to the reader: SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. You can feel the tension building just from the visual description. Then Prince Ling rolls in. The pearwood carved wheelchair. The purple silk robe. The black jade at his waist. The description of him is so deliberate—every detail paints a picture of someone who is physically frail but radiates power. "His presence was overpowering, though in the past two years, an unknown illness had worn away his ferocity, making him appear much weaker." The author is giving us SO much lore through description alone. This man was once terrifying. Now he's... what? Still terrifying, just in a different way? The whole sequence from the carriage entering the palace gates to the beaded curtain parting feels like a camera panning across a painting. I could see every frame.
Eijiro stood and started to walk down the steps to June. "Well now, that's unfortunate. You just met me and now you're trying to kill me?" He put the dagger in his pocket.
She is not sure...
"She's your wife," he shrugged nonchalantly. "And he's 17 years old," he told me as if I did not know that. "You can see her as a child, but she's not one. And you should see this soon enough. Girls tend to mature faster than men.
How can it be possible?! How can this old geezer - HOW CAN HE DO THAT TO ME ?! Is he senile to the point that he forgot who I am ?!!
'Game.' She said.
"I know that you're just worried about me." Tsubaki smiled. "I was just wondering why did the van suddenly appear."
