Hello author ? I really enjoy your story so far Im at chapter 38 an I sincerely hope you don’t drop this cool novel
First off I must say that the concept of the story hooked me in since I'm interested in viking culture and there isn't another novel that follows this concept that I know of. So I went into this hoping for a great novel, however the early execution of the story and character development was sub par at best which ended with me dropping the novel. My main gripes being that the author doesn't expand on why the MC has the following points or his reaction to his sudden reincarnation in the beginning of the story:1) Knowledge of Latin at a proficient level(Latin being dead language) of which I'm certain that a 'supposed' military member of the Mexican army would not know.2) Expert knowledge on medical practises and research (he mentions that he will 'explain' many diseases and their 'processes' to a random woman proclaiming herself to be a 'doctor'3) His reaction to his daughter's death after being reincarnated was unrealistic to say the least. How he just shrugs off her death and soldiers on to having a full on dialogue in latin with a random woman is just baffling to me and removes a sense of realism that ought to be there.4) Author doesn't show much of why the MC has any of the knowledge I stated above. He is only shown to have ties with the mexican army, we don't know his profession or why he was travelling to Athens with his daughter in the first place.Overall just a disappointing opening to the story and the MC in general. Many points are left unexplained and the reader is just meant to go with the flow. The MC has a weird motivation to want to continue living to and old age and conquer territory since it relates to him blaming God and religion for the deaths of his wife and daughter. The author never wrote about the MC being religious before he died as that would make more sense behind this motivation. The grammer is around average for this site but has much to be desired, an editor or spell checking would work wonders for the story. Hopefully the author can take this criticism and work on it towards future chapters and books.
TBH, this is the first time i am reading this genre and my mind is completely blown by this story. You have perfectly described and wrote every minute details. Most interesting fact i found is the perfect use of words. You have wisely use the words in your story with give away the vibes of history novel. Loving it so far. Please keep up the good work.
This book definitely illustrates the profoundness of heaven and the innate talent which the author clearly possesses..........................jk Still better than every other option though xd.
For me it’s a five stars novel. Super original story. The world is awesome. The characters are lovely, especially Blacky. This is a whole new novel idea with food included. However it’s not because there is food that this novel is boring.
Really incredible novel. This tops off the most of xianxia novels because of comedy, uniqueness, and the style. From a ****** mistake to a hilarious continuation throughout the story, surely, this is a must read for readers who are sick and tired of cliches!
Okay so this whole Qingniu Temple scene is honestly one of the smartest plot moves I've seen in a while. Yang Taohua doesn't just complain about Madam Su behind her back — she goes to a PUBLIC temple full of villagers and the County Captain's wife and DROPS the information like it's completely innocent gossip. And Tang Li? The kid is literally five years old and already playing 4D chess. When she chimes in about offering blood scriptures, I literally laughed out loud. This child has zero chill and I love it. The plot structure here is really satisfying because it's not just revenge for revenge's sake. The Tang family was being systematically oppressed — Tang Mei was tortured, the family reputation was being dragged through the mud — and this temple scene is the turning point where the tables start flipping. The author sets it up perfectly: first Yang Taohua pretends to be a pious grandmother asking about kneeling, then casually mentions her daughter-in-law's knees were bruised, then Tang Li adds the blood scripture comment, and suddenly the whole temple is listening. It's a domino effect. And then the aftermath at the Li household? Chef's kiss. Li Ruida finding out his reputation is ruined because his wife couldn't keep her mouth shut — the irony is delicious. He wanted this marriage alliance for Tang Zheng's future, and his own wife destroyed it. The plot is tightening around the Li family like a noose, and I'm here for it.

Okay, I need to just sit with this scene for a minute. Xue Zhaofei. The sixth brother. The one who used to bring her longevity noodles on the birthday nobody else remembered. I literally remembered that detail and it broke my heart all over again because here he is, standing under that willow tree in his white clothes, looking like some carefree immortal, and he says to her: "am I really so shameful to you?" And his answer is basically yes. He tells her not to say the pastries are from her because her reputation is tarnished. Tarnished. She's his BLOOD SISTER and he's worried about his networking with future colleagues. What killed me most was the moment Xue Mingzhu walked out. Xue Ning didn't miss the glee in her eyes. The cousin who had been quietly listening, pretending to be apologetic, but really she was enjoying this. And then she plays the victim so perfectly — wiping his sweat, telling him not to trouble Ningning anymore, offering to take the blame. And Xue Zhaofei? He falls for it INSTANTLY. Of course he does. Because Xue Mingzhu is kind and forgiving and never puts him in difficult positions. Meanwhile Xue Ning, who actually gave him everything, is the villain. The oath scene though — "if I caused anyone's death, may I spend my life with only a dim lamp and ancient Buddha" — that was Xue Ning at her most desperate and dignified. And Xue Mingzhu couldn't even swear to it. Couldn't even try. Because she KNOWS she's guilty. But none of that matters because, as the text says, "in their picture of familial harmony, there was never a place for her." That line. I'm not okay.
amazing love and friendship stories and I love the fact that it had an end even though it would have been interesting to continue. also, it's the first book I have read here without too much sadness and thick plots, it's a simple admirable love story
Looking forward for 2 to 3 chapters update.
