"Going into the story with high expectations might be unrealistic. Nevertheless, it offers a enjoyable, lighthearted reading experience that will make you laugh from time to time."
My rating would lean closer to a 4.5, but since it requires rounding, I'll settle for that. I can't give it a full 5 because occasionally, the translation disrupts my immersion, leaving me feeling like I've missed something crucial. This leads me to re-read parts to grasp the plot better.
Despite the translation challenges, I acknowledge the high quality of writing. It makes me wonder if the author has firsthand knowledge of certain situations. For the first time, I empathize with the characters in a relationship that might seem unbearable from an outsider's perspective. The balance between happiness and conflict adds realism, showing their efforts without knowing how to navigate a healthy connection. Considering the protagonist's troubled past, it's remarkable that he manages any relationship at all. There are just so many issues to unpack, and the evidence is overwhelming.
The male lead isn't a saint; he never claimed to be. However, he supports the main character when they push his buttons, which is a redeeming aspect.
I actually enjoyed the story; it's well-written and has a good flow. However, the dynamic between the main character (fMC) feels forced. He constantly fixates on her beauty, referring to her as a doll or goddess, which disrupts the immersion for me. It's not my cup of tea. I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Give it a shot, but it might not resonate with everyone.

Great book, I enjoyed reading it.
It was great but it’s been two months without even a single comment, so I think the author has just walked away (not the first time). BUT if she hadn’t mentioned the beta it could have stood alone as a complete story, as is. My suggestion is that you just ignore the loose end and consider it closed.
I am so excited to read Lily's story. I am sure it won't disappoint!
