Why do novels like this has so many views and fans? There are other perfectly good novels out there yanno? You don't have to read this garbage.
I like this book BUT too much useless dialog on every chapter just to make it longer to read. So enough is enough. Going to drop this book for now, might pick it up in the future if i have nothing to read.

I need to talk about this child because honestly he stole the entire chapter. Let me just start by saying: this five-year-old is the most perceptive, emotionally intelligent character in the entire novel and it's not even close. He sees through Lu Sihan's lies immediately—"Your hand trembled just now when you touched it"—and calls him out with the calm authority of someone who has absolutely no patience for nonsense. And he's right, because he's been doing this for five years. He's the one who's been there "every time" his mom cried. The father-son dynamic between Lu Sihan and Xiao Niangao is written with such restraint. There's no DNA test scene, no dramatic revelation. Just one glance from the kid at the stairwell entrance that the author describes as "a child's instinctive, genetically ingrained recognition of a father." That's it. That's the whole scene. And it hit me like a truck. But the real character work is in Shen Luning. The kitchen scene where she's making that sunny-side-up egg—"round, can't be broken"—this woman has built an entire life around protecting her son while carrying this massive wound inside her. And when Xiao Niangao tells her about Lu Sihan smiling after putting on the band-aid, she just... flips the egg and says nothing. The author uses silence as a character trait here and it's brilliant. Her line "he's not part of our family" followed by the flashback to when Xiao Niangao told his kindergarten teacher "there are only two people in our family"—that's the emotional core of the entire relationship dynamic. She's keeping him at arm's length while simultaneously never having left. The contradiction IS the character. And Lu Sihan? The psychologist scene where he finally admits his twisted logic—"as long as I'm crazy enough, you won't leave"—that's a man who has been broken since childhood and is only now, five years later, beginning to understand why. His growth arc is just starting and I'm already invested.
how many times does Rosalie Drugs author may I know when Rosalie finished she not worthy being mother of her Son suffer bullying grandmother, this selfish character, let children happy, to many twist this book never ending for bullying people this author too worst sadistic this is annoying book
