I hope it will have some Politics involved and MC gets promoted after hard work. I hope all the people are not stupid just to make MC look great. Giving 5 stars for now since the concept is interesting. Will update once I've read.
The biggest problem I personally have is just the chapter updates have really slowed down badly and just the wierd songs filler which is really unnecessary in my opinion.
Good premise, how ever terrible..... well, everything else. Characters are so 1 dimensional. That everyone that's not on the side of the main character is a bad person.There's no logic to how the main character gets his rewards, it just shows up, blatant plot armor, which I find is just terrible story telling. World building is terrible, like it doesn't tell me if the company that the main character just happens to fall in his lap is suppose to bigger, smaller, or equal to the power of his father/mother-in-law company/family. Story is terrible written, only a good read if you're in a brainless mood.

Brainless author sending a 12 yr old naive chinese girl who is still drinking milk in a killing trials. The girls family gives her a gift like a fking normal knife and some chinese poison and there opponent has advance tech good luck with ur so called chinese poison. Oh w8 ur chinese plot armor is thicker than ur great china wall i guess this chinese poison of urs is gonna massacre the advance aliens and gods in it. and out of all countries in the world only 2 participants joined in this killing trial The MC and the little girl who are both fking chinese! Talk about patriotism i guess other countries are trash cuz they dont even have a single representative while our fking chinese sends a 12 yr old girl with her chinese poison. This is why im disgusted with chinese novel that has modern tags cuz they always patrionize their own country while they make others bad. Why dont you send ur own daughter to a war battlefield author a give her ur so called chinese poison maybe ur daughter can kill them all lets see if u can have common sense if u send a naive girl to a battlefield.
This is the absolute best translated novel I have ever read. I've been on sites like Webnovel, WuxiaWorld, Gravity Tales, Fanmily, RoyalRoad etc for a couple years now. Webnovels are a tough market, and with monsters like Teng Jia, IET, Er Gen, Cuttlefish who authored this book can easily be ranked right up there with him. As a heavy reader of all fantasy Novels, the only book this can compare to, to me is The Name of the Wind, a massively successful western novel. These are as of now my two favorite contemporary books, and I am excited and ecstatic to see the rest of this book. The Lord of Mysteries lacks absolutely nothing. Character development is insanely good and each character will rip your heart out. World background and development are right up there with Tolkien. The plot is unforced and extremely intricate with many relationships subtle but obvious once they're revealed to the reader. All in all the best read in a long time. My one and only complaint about the novel is that I feel the aspects of his transmigration are a little unsuitable with the flavor of the novel as it drags on. Humor turns dark very, VERY, fast.
a true masterpiece, at least by the standards of novels you see on webnovel. most novels on this site are *******, and have many mistakes. this has few, and is truly entertaining and impressive. although it has a bit of a slow start, it gets incredibly good soon. the cultivation system and "paths" are complex and interesting. there is also a drive that the mc has to actually improve and do things, compared to most cultivation novels where it's just "i want to be the strongest!". i recommend this novel to anyone who is willing to put some time in. due it's slow start, it can seem boring but if you stick with it for a bit longer, it gets really good.
What a weird ending, for a chinese novel anyways. The main character's idol brokethrough to the last stage and not him. And most weird of all was I can't remember one 'young master courts death' scene. Yes there were a few enemies, but they didn't try to kill him on the basis of the status their father gave them. So all in all I'm disappointed that we aren't shown if (well I don't think it's if but when) he makes the breakthrough and 2nd most important is that we aren't shown their marriage. But I think it's good as it is. Every other chinese novel I've read is about murderhobo mc's (unless they have a system and open a shop in a cultivation world?) so I'm happy that the author didn't go that route after 700 chapters. Oh yes and he's a nice and relatable mc, quite rare lol. Oh and also a troll to only reveal his nickname on the Longhu Club forum on the last chapter.
