@followers tone in for daily update, it starts today
It might just be your cup of tea.
Firstly, I appreciate this novel. I can understand why some readers might rate it low due to misinterpretations. Allow me to share my perspective:
1. The genre classification can be misleading, as "mature" and "psychological" elements don't align entirely with typical shonen conventions. In reality, it leans more towards a fantastical shonen narrative as the story progresses.
2. Additionally, there are numerous tags, but it's important to note that it doesn't qualify as a dark fantasy. Terms like "betrayal," "bullying," and "depiction of cruelty" primarily occur at the beginning, with the story后来 developing into a darker shonen genre rather than maintaining a consistently dark tone.
To those who have given this novel a low rating, I suggest reconsidering and approaching it as a shonen series, rather than expecting a dark fantasy experience.
A unique aspect of this book is its lengthy narrative, giving depth to other characters and including romantic subplots, making it a rarity among its kind.
It's commendable, but there's an inexplicable void. It's as if the author has written a fantastic book without fully grasping what makes it exceptional. It feels like sheer chance that they managed to dodge common pitfalls, turning it into a decent read. One misstep, and it could easily devolve into a clichéd harem story for uninteresting characters, appealing only to those who follow trends blindly.
Yes, it's good, but when all I can see is how similar it is to subpar light novels and isekai manga, I can't help but wonder – what sets it apart? What unique purpose does it serve in this sea of mediocrity?
It started off promising, but unfortunately, the story lacks progression. The main character is portrayed as weak-willed, fixated on an irrational love from his childhood friend whom he hasn't seen in years. Despite being in a parallel world where she's not present, he persistently talks about her. There's no clear reason provided for his love, leaving readers puzzled. When she eventually appears, he's too timid to reveal his true identity and fails to make any progress. He drops numerous hints, even revealing her name from his original world, yet others remain oblivious. It takes a whopping 50 chapters for him to take action, but his attempt backfires when he entrusts a love letter to his rival, who reads and discards it. To add insult to injury, he manipulates the heroine into joining him with a deceitful scheme, misleading everyone into believing she chose to go willingly. Despite his heartfelt monologues about his love, the main character accepts the situation passively and wishes them well, marking the beginning of a new arc where the heroine will be absent for at least another 50 chapters. The story becomes a complete mess, with all the potential plot development abandoned.
