I said yep what a concept
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
"It'll be a pleasure to be your partner, Saito-kun" I said with a 'smile' on my face but my whole emotion was stirred up, something has changed.
NX:How long have I been asleep this time?
"Then. . . how can I move?"
"You have to the count of 10 to vacate the premises, or we will eliminate everybody inside" said Brynhildr as she crossed her arms.
The stakes in this chapter are escalating in the most deliciously terrifying way, and I need to process this because my heart is literally racing. Let's break down what Luo Xinci is up against. She's an illegitimate daughter who came to the capital to find her birth father—a man who abandoned her mother and changed his name. She's impersonating a noble lady she's never met, confined to a residence where every movement is monitored, and the one person she might be able to trust (Zhou Yi) is being sent away on official duty. That's the external conflict, and it's suffocating. But the INTERNAL conflict is where this chapter really destroys me. Luo Xinci has to convince Ming Yuhe that she's a ruthless, ambitious villain who wants to steal her friend's fiancé—when in reality, she's just a girl who's tired and scared and trying to survive. Every lie she tells makes her feel more like the wicked woman he thinks she is. She even thinks: "First the plot to kill my father, now the desire to steal my friend's fiancé—I've truly become the wicked woman I claimed to be." That's not just plot tension, that's psychological erosion. She's losing herself in the performance. And Ming Yuhe—oh, Ming Yuhe. His conflict is equally layered. He suspects her, he's frustrated by her, he's drawn to her, and he can't figure out which feeling is dominant. When he says "Niansheng, are you truly hiding nothing from me?" he's not just talking about her secret quest. He's asking whether she's hiding something from HIM specifically, and the fact that he can't tell the difference is the whole tragedy waiting to happen. The stakes just got worse too. Zhou Yi is leaving for Jiangbei. Luo Xinci is relieved because it solves her immediate problem, but she's also losing her only connection to the outside world, her only potential ally. And now she has to navigate a capital full of nobles she doesn't know, with a suspicious brother-figure who's watching her every move, while trying to find a father who may not even want to be found. The riding contest is going to be the next pressure cooker. She needs to meet people, Ming Yuhe is going to be there controlling the introductions, and Jiang Liyang is lurking somewhere ready to cause trouble. I can already feel the collision coming.
We've seen all what this desert could show us, so it get boring after a few hours of walking here. Suddenly, on the horizon I could see something floating above the desert. A humanoid figure, wearing a black toga. He slowly turns around, slowly revealing his face. Once again, I confront myself.

Xi Mo sighed and sit down on the ground, closing his eyes. It was like he was going to cultivate, but he is really just meditating to rest and refill his Spiritual Essence, so it is different from cultivating. He completely used his Spiritual Essence up, so he actually took over a week to recover it all.
