Too many cliffhangers. The author included many mysterious enemies in the story, but the author wouldn't reveal who the enemy is. The author would show how powerful the enemies are by writing it in the enemies' perspective, but the MC would have no idea about the enemies, and when you're reading this, you will only feel how stupid the MC is because of that. The enemies come very suddenly as well, like the MC would provoke a powerful guy without knowing just because he bought something from the guy in an auction. The whole story just feels forced and stupid with a million cliffhangers. It just makes the whole story confusing but not mysterious at all. Btw the MC is a lolicon, which makes the story even worse. Overall a boring story that's full of forced "mysteries". Imagine a story with many "mysteries" that you don't know, yet the author kept adding more "mysteries
I WILL DECLARE MY LOVE FOR THIS NOVEL SO LISTEN WELL...Personally, this is one of the best CN novel that i've ever read. I'm quite happy that this novel will be translated bcs all this time i mtl it myself, but at the same time not really happy bcs i caught up to raw and it's a long way from the current tl, i can't wait for too long...But anyway!! These things are the reason why this novel is so amazing:1. WORLD BACKGROUNDWhen i first read this novel, i thought it was like typical transmigration novel. You know.. fantasy world with magic and stuff. Well i'm not really wrong but the world background in this novel is very realistic. I think it's similar to post industrial revolution era in England, 1800s. Also it's a steampunk novel, so there are lots of historical machine and stuff. And the magic here isn't as omnipotent as i imagined it would be. Being an "extraordinary person" is not that powerful, there are serious danger and side effects, so people there aren't as OP as other novel. What i really love about this world background is how the author beautifully combined fantasy world and real life historical era in England. Like how people live and dress and adress each other at that time. The social class was very distinct and thoroughly explained. And how the other transmigrator before MC introduced the machinery to the world so it would start the steam and machinery era in that world. 2. CHARACTER DESIGNI LOVE TAROT! And i like how the author used 22 major arcana in tarot as identity at MC's "Tarot Club". And i realized the Tarot identity is closely or somehow related to the characters. Like MC's "The Fool
(quick side note, updating stability shouldn't be an option for the review because I just found the story and I have absolutely no if it's good so I just put a 5 star since I like the story)ANYWAYS, I love this novel.the only 4 star rating I'll give is on the writing quality because there are spelling/grammar errors even up to the current chapters (340+ish). this, however, isn't a big deal because it's a good story.the mc isn't super op, making sure there's a bit of suspense and drama in each situation. Though, the author does go a bit too overboard with the giant battles.The mc isn't not all-powerful, he shouldn't solo a thousand man battle the way he does with his current skills. 400+ kill count (demon of crestfall plain arc) just seems like a lot, though it's easier to swallow at such a low level in the story line.I almost stopped before even getting started when I read a review where someone said the fairy ruins the story but she actually made things more interesting. I'm not a fan that the mc received such an OP gift but it at least makes a bit if sense as opposed to other versions of the same trope.Even up to the latest chapter I enjoy the story which is hard since even on the 2000 plus chapter novels I can barely get through 10% of them without feeling either disgusted or bored.The mc may have some OP skills but he's not overly reliant on them and the author does end up nerfing them a bit throughout the story, but a bit of OP is acceptable in these types of stories.Please continue with the novel Author, maybe let him have a bit of romance so he doesn't turn incel later on? I have to give credit where it's due—the dialogue in this chapter is genuinely funny and it does a ton of heavy lifting. Let me just quote a few lines because they're too good not to share. Fang Kuan: "I've been holding in my pee for an hour—I can't wait any longer…" — this is the kind of line that makes you laugh out loud because it's so brutally honest. Mao Yi's running commentary throughout is also fantastic. When he says about Shen Baizhou: "It's like a soap bubble facing a spiked club… No matter how you swing the club, the bubble would pop on its own"—that's not just description, that's a whole philosophy compressed into one sentence. And Han Ming's dialogue is perfectly crafted to make you want to punch him. "You're not stronger in plot—you're stronger in connections!" followed by everyone laughing. That's the kind of line that defines a character in one sentence. You don't need a backstory for Han Ming—you've got him. The narrative voice itself has this great snarky quality. Lines like "Blind leading blind, deep waters at midnight…" and "Even the machine rejects you…" show an author who's not taking themselves too seriously. There's humor woven into the tension, which makes the serious moments hit harder because you're not exhausted from constant drama. One thing I noticed: Su Hongdou's dialogue is notably simple and direct. "He's a really nice person…" That's it. No subtext, no cleverness. It's almost naive. But that naivety is her character—and it contrasts perfectly with everyone else's political maneuvering.
