The author's decision to have it be based on D&D is sas for the novel. Everything is pretty good except the save throws in a world that is supposed to bé close to reality.
Honestly I had high hopes for this novel. I really enjoyed Gourmet Supplier in another world and hoped this story would take a similar route. However i was entirely disappointed.The Main Character has little redeeming qualities. He relies entirely on the system, and by that i mean entirely. Usually MCs with systems are given tough tasks that require strength of spirit and dedication to complete, this system hands the MC everything on a silver platter and even then MC seems to oblivious to properly take advantage of it. He can't even cook. The system does that for him.The supporting characters are even worse. They seem to have amnesia about any and all prior events. Gratitude does not seem to exist. And in the rare cases it does it is later entirely forgotten. My breaking point was on 2 separate occasions in which MC took in a bandit who was about to kill and r*pe and later the female character that was captured by the bandit got all chummy with a male character who urged her to become the bandits wife.I had hopes for this story, i really did and i gave it a good 30 chapter read, but i have reached my breaking point and will not continue this story.
I like the whole farming system troupe but executed way too poorly sadly. The characters and story lack depth and ultimately it feels too unrealistic.
The pacing in these chapters is honestly relentless in the best way. You've got the shopping spree establishing the new normal, then the father-daughter planning session showing their bond, then BAM—Zhang Yun kicks down the door and everything escalates. The author doesn't waste a single scene. Every chapter ends on a note that makes you immediately want the next one. Chapter 7 is a masterclass in tension escalation. It starts with domestic warmth—seeds, animals, cooking together—and then the door-banging interrupts like a horror movie. The transition from cozy to combative is so sharp you almost get whiplash. And then Lin Dong's confrontation with Zhang Yun? It moves FAST. She storms in, starts yelling, he shuts her down in three paragraphs flat. No drawn-out melodrama, just pure decisive action. But I will say—there's a slight drag in the moving-and-organizing sequence. The whole scene where Lin Jiayi keeps tossing things into her space saying "plant it" and pulling them back out? It's charming but it goes on a bit. I get that it's establishing the space's magic system, but three cycles of the same action felt like the author was padding word count. Skipped right through it. The Yao Qingqing subplot at the end of Chapter 8 was a great structural choice though. Just when you think the chapter is wrapping up with the happy family moving in, we cut to her sobbing on the floor, blaming Lin Jiayi for everything. It's a perfect bookend—joy on one side, devastation on the other—and it sets up the next conflict beautifully. The cliffhanger with Director Qin and the job-stealing scheme? Chef's kiss. Makes you immediately click to the next chapter.
why do you even need fast pass what do they do almost every original book need fast pass after like 30-40 chapters not to mention 6 so what do you need them for

Solid world building story. Could cut out a lot of useless harem and depravity stuff. Even took in his own sister. String pro-German male ideaology. Pretty much sexist. Depicts woman as submissive beings fighting over a man’s attention and scheming. Timelines aren’t too realistic and the strategy could be better. The wars get a bit boring due to technological superiority at a vast scale. All the opponents are somehow stupid and rash. Read more for fun than seriousness.
