I really like the premise of the novel, as most of these villain main character (MC) novels typically feature a female MC, which I enjoyed at first. However, after seeing it repeated dozens of times, I began to wonder why there weren't any similar novels with a male MC. So, the premise was something I was really looking forward to.
There were some issues, though. When I saw the harem tag, I was already a bit wary about how the novel would develop, especially since it's a more modern type of novel. Then, I noticed it’s a Chinese (CN) novel, and for those who don’t read many of these, you might know that most CN novels, especially those with a harem tag or no female MC, often have terrible objectification of women. I’ve been reading CN novels for a long time, so I can usually tolerate this as long as it’s not too overt in the writing. However, this novel started grading the female characters’ looks on a point system, which felt incredibly inappropriate and significantly lowered my opinion of the novel.
Aside from that, the novel is a fairly solid modern CN novel with a system, generic antagonist characters, and generic side characters. I would rate this novel around 3.7 or 3.8, but since those ratings don’t exist, I rounded it up to 4.
In conclusion, I think this novel is a good side read while waiting for your favorite novel to update, as long as you can handle some of the somewhat sexist content. But if you really care about avoiding that kind of writing in a novel, why would you consider a novel with a harem tag in the first place?
Good translation. The reason I didn't enjoy this novel is that it starts with an intriguing premise but quickly devolves into a repetitive list of all the cool cars the protagonist will drive, the ways people will fawn over him, and ultimately, how he will play cruel pranks and overpower everyone with his wealth while still winning the girl. There are no true antagonists in the story, and his actions can be quite callous at times. It reads more like a teenager's revenge fantasy.
There is barely any development of his relationships with his parents and old friends, which could have added depth and color to the plot. The main character lacks a distinct personality, and it's tedious how he uses his victories to socialize with the wealthy. Additionally, why don't these 'rich system' stories ever show the main character doing anything for charity (other than helping abandoned animals)? It's disappointing.
The overall theme of the novel seems to be that if you have money, everyone thinks you're wonderful. I wish this were a satire, but it isn't.

Yeah, no... Not enough patience for a novel like this. I’m fine with weak protagonists that make sense. I’m fine with stupid protagonists that make sense. What I’m not fine with are protagonists that are supposed to be smart or have the potential to be strong, but just aren’t because the author went too far with the abilities and now tries as hard as he can to slow down the pacing.
In the beginning, it wasn’t that apparent because the growth felt pretty consistent with the abilities the main character (MC) had. The issues started when the author realized that he’s 50 chapters in and the MC is in the top 10% when it comes to power. At this rate, it’d take at most another 100 chapters before he becomes some sort of peerless overgod. Now, there are other novels with pacing like this, but they usually solve it by adding more powerful enemies above the "peak" that the reader didn’t know about in the beginning. The way it’s solved in this novel is the author creating situations that force the MC into leveling situational auxiliary abilities instead of combat-oriented ones.
Essentially, the MC gets around 60 skill points each level-up. Those 60 skill points are enough to level one school of magic or swordsmanship, or even defense so high that there would be almost no one in the world stronger than him in that one area. Why doesn’t he do that? Well, just before he levels up, every time there just happens to be a situation that convinces him that he needs detection skills that do almost nothing, or psychic defense skills that are useful against exactly two people out of the entire story so far. He confidently spends 40 points on extremely situational skills but refuses to spend 10 to max his swordsmanship.
And that’s not all. The worst part is that the skills he gets look very impressive for exactly one chapter, and then they just don’t exist. Whether it’s his divine eyes that were stolen from the gods and allowed him to see through smoke one time, then never did anything useful again, his "Unsealable" skill that makes him very much sealable, just with a different ability, or his newest ability that protects him against psychological influence, unless it just doesn’t when it’s not convenient. The abilities don’t work, he doesn’t use them, or there’s some meh explanation about why he can’t use them.
TLDR: The villains have plot armor, the MC has plot holes. It’s like the slime/spider reincarnation if 100 chapters in, the author decided not to have an OP protagonist and tried to explain why they’re actually not that strong after all.
Bro, I really enjoy how the storyline takes such a dramatic turn, it's hilarious! The main plot is unique, with an apocalypse happening immediately after completing her system-assigned task. Little did she know she'd have to use all her intelligence to prepare for the disaster herself. Haha, so far, it's great, and I'm looking forward to where it goes.
