Easily one of the better cultivation novels on here. An interesting thing about the novel is that it tries to break some of the tropes and conventions that are standard in this genre by literally having the MC travel to a different country to avoid cliche arrogant young masters. Even moreso, when the MC eventually encounters a traditional cultivation sect he remarks at how backwards and inefficient it is. Its a bit refreshing to see a story try something new. After a while though the tone changes drastically and while it isn't a bad change, it's actually quite suited to the setting, it does lack a bit of the oomph of the first arc.That being said, the characters are done badly. For all the research on the U.S. culture/political system that the author actually seems to be mostly accurate in, the behavior and lexicon of the American characters is really...Chinese. Other characters are one dimensional and there are also the standard characters who might be interesting for a few chapters only to be forgotten about quickly.Overall, it's definitely worth a read for daring to break convention though it's not the end all be all of cultivation novels.

Warning!!!!!this novel is a fcking lie.why u may ask? ive read till chp 40 and then when i proceed to go to read the mtl in mtlnovel*com and just about to read, i accidently read the comment and from what i see..... well let say its not looking pretty good.this novel start as a true misunderstanding novel till the author changed script and abruptly make the sect mc joins into a real hidden and all powerful sect.the author abruptly change the sect leader into a real mahayana realm cultivator and all the 7 disciples into (real)high realm cultivators.if the sect is truly an expert sect would the sect master be frugal and so poor? will he sell all his possessions and mc painting for money if they r truly expert sects? would they even fear not paying the inferior spirit stones at the early chp?i quote from the readers comment " this novel is disapointing. you can fool the characters, but don't you try fool the readers. DE is a great novel. IET has almost perfected the art of writing fast food novels. Like all other IET novels the protagonists are motivated by family, friends and work like mad to achieve their goals. The main character only ever have one love interest at a time and they usually face hardship to get together and then the novel just skims past the rest. Definitely not for those who are interested in harems or extensive romance. The novel is all about overcoming greater and greater enemies. Overall a great novel.I'm just irritated that Qidian copy and pasted the novel over from WuxiaWorld without the translator's permission. Definitely not a cool move.
After reading 79 chapters, I found the story mostly annoying and frustrating before I had to just put it down. Do you like a main character that leaves loot on the ground and refuses to look out for himself because he expects the author to hand him what he needs when he needs it? Do you like a main character who refuses to bathe or wear anything but blood covered rags because he prefers to look and smell like swine? do you like main characters that get good weapons handed to them but refuse to use them and just punch everything? Do you like a main character that shows all his enemies his secrets, but will irrationally keep secrets only when it hurts his own opportunities just because. Do you like an MC whose "cultivation" is only described as visualizing a demon head? Not a joke. That's it. I don't. I feel personally insulted. Er Gen has put in minimal effort on this one. I think maybe Er Gen fed an AI a bunch of cultivation novels, and this is the novel it vomited out.
After looking back at the novel I feel thrilled about this experience. The writing is top-notch, at least to my taste and I loved how the scenes were depicted, although I was shocked by some of them. I am looking forward to its further development. The main character does what he considers right and the "system" doesn't affect his own thinking or ensnaring him like a snake (at least for now). I couldn't take my eyes off it. Of course, I didn't expect a family-friendly story, but this was incredible.I found one or two words that were mistaken for something else, but all in all, it's awesome and also rich in vocabulary. Keep up with the story and absolutely don't drop this gem, author.
This novel here is an absolute piece of garbage if I’ve ever seen one. This novel is for brain dead idiots, go ahead and give this piece of trash a try and see why this bs is getting this one star rating.
Very interesting take on the common system genre stories, never seen a medical one. The ways the system is written seem to make sense except for the speed that the MC can progress from just being an intern. Otherwise I quite like the story. 4/5
Pretty average. I have finished reading Starting Contracts with Sprites. Both, this and that novel, are in the same niche with having pets for fighting. After reading 15 chapters only, I grew tired of this novel for having similar starting points with only the difference with the system abilities. It still didn't riled up my interest. I will give this an average score for at least making a solid novel but can't really get my interest to keep reading it. Comparing it with food, you can eat it but it doesn't have that umami flavor that will keep you from having second serving.
Great bookThe main character is smart but not greedy and the mc continues to impress even later in the book, story feels fresh and keeps you interested
