This was a great story! Thanks
Loved reading your book!!!
i love the story!
this is one of the best books that I read...simple straight...not like others where you'll see so much of pain in female lead and male lead is busy in warming up his bed with other women...but this book shows how female need to love herself and how Nathan helped him to believe in herself...kudos
There's this one moment in chapter 17 that I keep coming back to. Jiang Yunzhi returns to the villa after the absolute nightmare that was her family dinner, and she sees "the pile of local specialties in the corner, stacked neatly like a small mountain." The text says her "gloom caused by the Jiang family was instantly swept away" and her "smile was bright." That's it. That's the whole scene. No dramatic music, no grand gestures. Just a bunch of local snacks that someone bought for her, and suddenly the weight of her family's exploitation lifts. The contrast between the Jiang family home and the Yan villa is striking. The Jiang household is all tension and manipulation — her father's paternalistic lectures, her mother's passive-aggressive silence, her brother's threats to break relations, Jiang Lulu's performative tears. It's suffocating. But the Yan villa? Butler Chen brings her cut fruit. Yan Wenjing buys her hometown specialties. There's a sense of care, even if it's expressed in unconventional ways. The villa becomes this sanctuary where Jiang Yunzhi can actually breathe. And the Yan Corporation headquarters! Chapter 18's scene where Jiang Lulu tries to barge in is so vividly described. The receptionist's deadpan refusal, the glass elevator descending in the evening, Yan Wenjing walking out "even more dazzling than a celebrity" — it reads like a movie. The author has a real gift for visual storytelling. You can see the scene playing out frame by frame. The world feels lived-in and specific. Huaicheng specialties, the Nancheng resort project, the capital circle's social dynamics — these details ground the story in a real place with real stakes. It's not just a generic wealthy setting; it has texture.
