The high ratings for this novel were largely due to it being one of the early web novels of its genre to be translated. However, as the genre became more mainstream, other novels had to raise their quality, making this one seem mediocre in comparison.
I simply can't resist the urge to delve into it. It's difficult for me to move on and focus on other tasks during the day, as I feel compelled to read further. This is an exceptional regression story.
The storyline is a thrilling rollercoaster, with unexpected plot twists that caught me off guard, despite being familiar with the genre. It's both satisfying and humbling to see where my predictions align and where they don't. The characters are well-developed, each with their own motivations, from the antagonist I despise to the likable Yu-ram and his aunt, and even those who evolve into unexpected kindness. Their growth and interactions feel genuine and believable.
The world-building is intense, almost Kafkaesque at times. The initial setup seemed unfair, with a potential for a typical "good vs. evil" narrative, but the truth is far more complex. Most characters are morally gray, making the situation all the more gripping. The innocence of some characters stands out amidst the chaos.

The grittiness of the original world the main character (MC) comes from added to its intrigue.

The author did an excellent job in portraying his character's current state, making it relatable and complex. Sylvia and the class president are likable supporting characters, but the original male MC's portrayal struck me as somewhat off. I am hoping for the author to redeem and provide a more nuanced understanding of his character in later chapters.

Good novel, very homosexual, but not so homosexual that it overtakes the story and becomes unreadable if you’re not here for the homosexuality. Worth reading even if you don’t like dudes kissing dudes bc the story is just that good and romance is made very much a subplot in comparison to the MC’s main shenanigans
