Great novel, it's really refreshing and the author takes into account suggestions from readers to further improve things. It's a hidden gem, very underrated.

The story is kept at a standstill because the enemies are being protected by plot armor. Everyone has protagonist correction. When everyone is a protagonist, no one is. Now the story goes nowhere.There was also this random as **** traveller?? Literally appeared out of nowhere and gave him literal plot armor. So many plot holes and plot armors. If that is your type of story then read on.
The problem with this story is how much it repeats itself. You have the story told from the protagonists perspective for 2 chapters then the next 2 chapters are the exact same story told again but with other characters reaction added. This gets tedious pretty fast and results in a glacial plot pace.
Despite the MC not wanting to be with Rongyu, he doesn't even try to correct the misunderstanding she had, despite being aware of it. It's infuriarting.

What in the world is this doing on the top novels. She is a 3rd gen rich girl who just wants to win over Ling Ran. Except she has negative brain cells. B_tch please. I am trying to enjoy the novel and all you can do is interject and add random bullcr*p. I don't care if you drive a Rolls Royce today, and a Bentley tomorrow.The only good part was Meng Leyao. Jeez, a woman who is more normal than the rest, who doesn't immediately get wet after seeing Ling Ran, except she disappears for 100 chapters. VERY GREAT NOVEL! The main character isn't an a$$hole like most Chinese MCs, and he is very protective of his family, and is very likable. Out of all of the trial reads, this is definately one of the top ones.
