i mtled this upto chapter 500, and there's this authors note that says "the book is almost over, it should be soon." and im shook. cause i thought that chapter500 was still in the middle part of the story. tf his soul pets only have 20-40,000 yrs of cultivation and the book is almost over??? lets hope that author will change his mind ?? cause this story is really good
So far surprisingly good , I didn't expect the sect to be eventually built the way it was, usually they just start as some super op hidden elder or op person that starts a sect but here was from the beggining , I really appreciate this novel sadly has too few chapters but apart from that it's pretty good , not much worldbuilding either as of yet but it makes sense since he's just at the begining stages of cultivation.
I like the idea and find it refreshing but the execution left much to be desired.Leaving aside grammar and such, there’s a huge problem of info-dumping/world padding of useless stuff that would put slide of life to shame and horrible pacing. At chapter 200, we are not even a week into the novel. And most of it doesn’t even bring anything substantial to the plot. Also, there’s a lot of inconsistency in the world building. Specially the timeline of various stuff. The MC said he’s 23 but a couple of chapters later, his senior of 2 years has been inquisitor for 15 years. Other time his team member saved treasures for multiples years to afford something. That’s just pure math but it goes deeper with the timeline established related to cultivation. With the life expectancy described, they shouldn’t be able to be at the palace stage at their age. Also, the Order only existed for about 500 years but they have a buttload of soul realm expert from who knows where when 50000 years old clan had 3 in their total history. Finally, the cultivation system and art related to it is very shallow right now and not explored very much or in a meaningful way despite a lot of mention about art but its always about grade and not detailed. Same thing about the Dao, always mentioned on a surface level without any dept.A lot of potential, but wasted as it is now.

An good start and I like that the story is slow during the world building. The characters are interessting and can't wait for more chaoters.
Just saw an extremely similar synopsis beside this one. It's super cultivator daddy or smth? The MCs reborn when they're still drunkard, bad father who would done the most regrettable mistakes in their lives. Then they vow to change and love their families? Yeah, that.
It's been awhile since I've read a food type of novel other then some Shokugeki no Soma fanfictions (which are great by the way). And though there's not a lot of novels based around the food genre out there, the few novels there are, are all great with good quality writing. But this novel is the cream of the crop, the cherry on top. It's absolutely fabulous piece of work and the plot is great and suspenseful. It's a great read. Keep up the good work, good sir.

A history with rushed everything, the history, the crumbling of the original world. So far the only redeming quality is how the "Rebirth" of the main character is seen by the autor but even that is rushed.
