I love the novel, but the timeline is really confusing me. Can someone explain the timeline to other readers?
Here’s my understanding:
- Gu Yuanyuan had four sons at a young age. When she reunites with them, she is mistaken to be young enough to be their daughter. How old is Gu Yuanyuan approximately? How old is her stepsister? How old are her children?
- Gu Yuanyuan must have been at least 15 when she had her four sons. She was separated from them when she was around 20 (so the children were about 5 years old at that time). All four of her sons have grown up and are now adults, which suggests that at least 25 years have passed. Logically, she should be around 45 years old.
- Why weren’t her stepsister and stepmother surprised by how young she looks? How is her father not already a retired grandpa?
Are there two different timelines or stories happening here? I’m really confused...

I, just moments ago, caught up on the manga, and after such a magnificent, heartwarming, satisfying, endearing trip with the most precious gems I've ever seen, I immediately came scrounging for more of their story. Somehow, this app got thrown in my face right off the bat, so here I am. I'm also about to be living in a forest for two months, so there could not be a better time to get back on LNs and WNs, though having this WN disco is painful.

I'm barely at chapter 30 and it has already started getiing boring. Almost the entire chapter is narration and information. Many things are repetitive. I will read another 10 chaptera and if it stays the same then I'm dropping it .
