I really wanted to like this novel, I love clan or sect development novels. But like most people have said already, it just a collection of cliches from different Chinese novels. The novel is random and all over the place. The main character is supposed to be smart but makes random stupid decisions for unexplainable reasons. Instead of focusing on building his power while he is weak (like an actual smart person would do), he stupidly runs around being arrogant, feeling like he is above everyone else when in fact his cultivation is extremely low and he is not as smart as he thinks (To the point that he is even ignorant about his own body and cultivation). The power levels when it comes to the main character are all over the place. From what I have read so far, the mc's power level is basically whatever the author says it is at any given time.No cultivation? no problem, with his weapon he just randomly created and his (deus ex machina) intent he can basically kill anyone he wants. The power levels are basically a joke, even if the strongest person on the continent shows up, the author just needs to come up with some random (super Saiyan) reason for the mc with the lowest cultivation rank to be able to kill him easily. I mean, the mc basically boasts about how all-knowing he is, to the point of being able to raise anyone's cultivation at will. Wouldnt it be better for him to just raise his own cultivation to at least a decent level first? that would have the entire thing a lot more believable. Overall, I am really disappointed with this novel as it could have been way better. I decided to drop it as I could tell that it would only be a waste of time as this novel is going nowhere fast.

The story is not too bad, it is basically a first work of attempt by an author, with many *** scenes and many cliches.My biggest problem is that the MC ended up raping a character, he hears aphrodisiac drugs involved, even though it wasn't the MC himself that made the woman look like this, I couldn't keep reading.I have seen cases where women at parties were drugged or were heavily drunk and were raped.Esim, this is rape, you have *** with someone who is not aware or under strong drug effects, it is rape, and even though the author tried to justify things, the character of the MC at that point for me, was worth less than rubbish.
This novel is your typical face-slapping novel. They introduce new arrogant and proud characters everytime the previous one was been faceslapped. Concept is quite unoriginal, but why do i rate this 4+ stars?Because they turn this Eastern Fantasy story into a palatable novel that can be enjoyed from what would otherwise be known as a cliche novel.The author (or translator/editor) does a good job with the writing in order to make it enjoyable. Only novel I can think of on here that has achieved an similar effect was King of Gods - which utilizes great writing. Summary: The MC is a godking that has been worshipped by the whole world and was reborn into a young masters body. He is constantly looked down upon but eventually pulls through with his profound knowledge and cultivation methods. Enemies or the lesser friendly equivalent, constantly feel regret for their actions when the MC is unassuming. Really makes you angry when they act like and on the flip side, happy when they get taught a lesson.
This is the kind of story you don't read until there is at least 50 chapters out. The story is great it's not just sex all the time there is a good story behind it it seems like there is quite a good martial art system also. I recommend to everyone to read this the character development is quite nice for now we got POV of the mc and his first woman not sure how it will be in the futrue but hopefully we get a inside life of his other wifes when he gets them.
There are a whole bunch of flaws in this novel in the historical context, which includes the Gulf War, the 1992 presidential elections which completely glossed over the primaries, Jurassic Park -- the novel was already bought by Spielberg before it was even published. Also, Adrian sometimes like to give speeches to everyone which makes it very cringey. All in all a good novel if you just don't think about it too much, sice this is a wish fulfillment novel after all.
