"Oh, they're done with the rings?" Ji-Eun's mood lifted a bit as she reached out to take the bag. "Right on time then. Thank you for bringing this."
I have to appreciate the atmosphere in these chapters because the author really knows how to paint a scene. The opening image of Wolong Mountain is gorgeous: 'lying beneath the darkness like a giant sleeping beast.' That single comparison sets the entire tone. This isn't just a backdrop—it's alive, watching, waiting. And the villagers' belief that 'man-eating beasts lurk inside those mountains' adds this layer of cultural fear that makes Lin Wan's decision to enter at night feel genuinely dangerous, not just dramatically convenient. Then there's the temple itself. 'Drafty roof,' 'rotten wood,' 'cracked stone slab'—these details matter because they establish that Lin Wan and Lin Yulong have literally zero resources. Every tool she uses (a wooden door bar sharpened into a spear, cloth strips from her skirt, a rusty woodcutting knife) is scavenged from their surroundings. The world feels real because the poverty feels real. The hunting sequence is where the atmosphere really shines. 'The late autumn wind swept through the dead forest, producing eerie, ghost-like howls that sent chills straight into the bones.' Combined with Lin Wan's assassin instincts—moving silently, breathing minimized, becoming part of the darkness—the scene reads like a thriller novel. You can feel the cold. You can hear the snapping twigs. And the cliff scene? 'Jagged rocks covered the cliffside. Wild grass grew everywhere. One careless step would send someone falling to their death.' The sensory details here are razor-sharp. Loose stones tumbling into the abyss, the cracking sound of weathered rock, blood on her fingers from sharp edges. It's visceral. I literally held my breath when her footing broke. The dawn ending is a perfect bookend—'The eastern sky gradually brightened with the pale glow of dawn'—transitioning from the terror of night to the hope of morning. The world feels lived-in, dangerous, and full of hidden treasures for someone brave enough to find them.

"Reverse it."
He immediately pulled a chair and sat down while admiring the food laid on the table.
Under such circumstances, the Top merchants would have left disheartened, as Jaculas alone took no form of interest in forming a partnership with any of them.
I shouted, but I was too late.
Falicia, like a new fawn, stood up and took her first uneven steps forward. She was determined to get the hang of walking but found herself running with much more ease. With a giant smile on her face she rushed into the small tornado of butterflies and jumped into Sakura's arms. The moment they made contact the butterflies scattered in every direction of the dark room and dissolved into the space. Bring out the true form of the world.

I feel like I am reading an uncensored anime while reading this novel, the MC acts exactly how you would expect a typical isekai protagonist to be, Dumb. Though she is slightly less dense.
