This is an exceptional tale about a malevolent monster, not the usual cuddly slime or goblin, but a genuine alien-themed adventure. Regarding translation, I haven't encountered any issues so far. For some readers, the perspective from a praying character might be repetitive, but given the rarity of such a storyline, there aren't set rules to follow. Plus, these moments aren't lengthy or intrusive mini-sideplots within already extensive chapters.
Well, it's akin to a coming-of-age story with a touch of chuunibyou, which actually adds to the appeal. The protagonist begins as弱势的新生命, but through intense trials, pain, and life-or-death struggles, he taps into an unwavering will to overcome. A remarkable act he accomplished during his teenage years – one requiring an extraordinary determination and courage beyond regular folks – truly stands out. What I appreciate is how his character evolved without losing its integrity, despite the challenges he faced. Given my exposure to various fantasy genres, this novel carries a timeless quality, making it a delightful read.
The initial review on the page initially discouraged me from reading, but it turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The Male Lead (ML) and Main Character (MC) are equally portrayed, with the MC being strong and distinct from the typical submissive role. I adore it; it reminds me of "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim." The story revolves around their growth and the deep bond they form, treating each other as equals and comrades. It's an enjoyable adult-oriented tale. Don't let negative reviews or mine hold you back; just give it a chance – you won't regret it.
As a person unrefined, I read it without filters, and I didn't regret it at all. This novel stands out as one where the author maintains a balanced perspective, and Ning Shu, the protagonist, is a highly rational and logical female character. Unlike typical female leads in mainstream stories who may be naive or vengeful, Ning Shu is practical, focused on her missions to fulfill clients' desires, and values wisdom over charm.
The story has a few recurring male characters, but there isn't a conventional romantic plot, just subtle hints. Ning Shu has a cynical view of love due to her past experiences, which could understandably leave her disillusioned. What I particularly enjoy about the narrative:
1. It's structured with well-developed arcs, each with its pacing, avoiding the rushed feel often seen in quick-transmigration tales. Some arcs are exceptional, like "I Think My Husband Wants to Kill Me," a dark and intriguing storyline.
2. The author cleverly satirizes clichés, such as overbearing CEOs, enchanting ghost kings, and plot twists involving genius children. It pokes fun at common tropes.
3. The system missions, like beauty enhancement, talent acquisition, and fame cultivation, add an interesting twist to the story.
4. Defeating stereotypes, like Mary Sues and Gary Stus, is entertaining.
5. Ning Shu refuses missions asking others to fall in love with someone else, emphasizing authenticity and the potential complications when the original owner returns.
6. She shows concern for long-term consequences, ensuring clients' well-being even after her departure, which adds depth to her character.
7. Ning Shu's growth is genuine, as she learns skills without relying on OP前世遗产, making her a relatable character.
8. Her moral compass isn't rigidly black and white; she navigates gray areas, driven by love, revenge, or jealousy, always remaining level-headed.
9. I admire her strength and independence, as she makes rational decisions.
The novel progresses slowly but consistently, with earlier arcs being less intense compared to later developments. Overall, it's a well-rounded story with a unique and compelling lead.
This is a heartwarming situation, despite the possessiveness and territorial nature of the main character (ML). He understands his boundaries and plans to win the protagonist (MC) gently, by causing a bit of annoyance around their ambitious career. MC's innocence and pretense of affection are endearing, even if he欺骗 both others and ML, unknowingly falling for his own act.
In terms of the story, while it has potential, the author could have executed it better in guiding the reader's understanding. For instance, the character Frank's reveal could have been foreshadowed earlier, rather than coming as a sudden plot twist.
Surprisingly, I found myself feeling sympathetic towards Jiang Fencheng. His actions contributed to MC's emotional turmoil, and although MC claims confusion after their breakup and no lingering feelings, there are hints that suggest a deeper connection might have developed had circumstances been different.
Overall, it's a decent read, despite the occasional confusion stemming from the translation. I wish the author better luck with future works.

Can a moderator pls arrange the chapters in order especially in early stages. U need to read a bit of the chapter before u arrange it as it seems the numbering is wrong
