Among the 4 love stories depicted in the book, only liam’s and isabel’s stories were the healthy ones. I guess children analyzed their parents’ failures and were smart enough not to repeat the same mistakes. John and odell are horrible characters, never rooted for them… it’s a good read.

I really enjoyed reading this novel so far. It has everything my heart longs for—the impeccable post-apocalyptic setting, the writing style, and some of the characters.
While sometimes the secondary characters feel one-dimensional and lack depth, this didn’t significantly impact the overall readability of the story.
However, I have to mention that, despite the story being very good, I often felt a subtle sense of loss while reading. It was as if something was wrong or missing, though I’m not sure what caused this feeling. This is likely a personal issue, as others might not have experienced the same.
I’d like to discuss the setting further. The post-apocalyptic empire setting is quite compelling. The descriptions of the locations where the story unfolds are very vivid and well-crafted. However, one area where the novel might be lacking is in character development. Even after a significant portion of the story, we still know very little about the characters.
This could be intentional, as the author might have wanted the characters to have minimal or no past to emphasize living in the present and the idea that "what happened before the 'found family' doesn’t matter." If that’s the case, it’s a great approach, but it should have been explained more clearly.
Regarding the characters, the main character (MC) is incredibly cool but also seems rather naive or oblivious. This might be a counterbalance to his otherwise overpowered nature, but it makes it difficult to relate to him when he misses obvious details. The male lead (ML), on the other hand, is very charming. However, due to the MC’s flaws, the dynamics between them become increasingly strange over time. This is partly why I stopped reading at Chapter 63. While the story was great up to that point, I found the subsequent developments less enjoyable.
I might be wrong, but I genuinely didn’t enjoy that chapter or the gradual changes leading up to it. I know I should read the entire novel to give a proper review, but I won’t. If you want to, go ahead.
The pacing is leisurely, but there's a time skip involved. The main character isn't excessively powerful compared to other novels where the protagonist becomes a vice admiral by chapter 15. They need to improve their skills, which requires diligent effort, similar to the growth in 'GSS' but not overly OP.
This is my first time reviewing here, and I'm still getting the hang of it. Let's call it a learning curve. *laughs it off*

It has a good potential, but unfortunately I don't like the changes in the main character. They are too radical.
She become a naive, selfless, and stupidly kind and trusting person.
Her emotional reaction towards the things of the pass is also too exaggerated. I think she has some mental problem because of her past, but the story depict this thing like they should be like this. So I dropped it...
