Okay so let me just say—the plot moves FAST. Yan Wuxin gets attacked by her own sister, kills two maids with hairpins (which is honestly both brutal and kind of brilliant because who thinks to weaponize hairpins), then immediately leaves to figure out her situation. No dwelling, no melodrama. She's a special agent; she handles threats and moves on. Then she falls into a cave. A literal earthquake opens the ground and she just plummets. Classic isekai trope but executed without any of the usual laziness. She doesn't just stumble into power—she has to endure the Xisui Ye transformation, which reads like going through hell physically. Black water, foul odor, skin peeling off, bones cracking. And then she emerges with flawless skin and a voice in her head calling her a "foolish woman." The Quan Shuxing reveal at the end is the kind of moment that makes you want to immediately read the next chapter. All eight attributes? The crystal pillar SHATTERING? That's not just a power-up—that's a narrative landmine. The author is clearly setting up a "tall tree catches the wind" scenario, and I am already invested in watching how she handles the consequences. Also the subplot with her brother Yan Wuhan is doing heavy lifting here. She's not doing this for glory—she's doing it because he's physically limited and she needs money and Danyao. That grounding motivation keeps the overpowered trajectory from feeling unearned or hollow.
an interesting story, I like the idea that the creator of the book has because it's not something I've read or watched before, the characters are interesting and I love the concept of overpower that ark has, a book that I will definitely continue to watch and recommend
Hello, Book Bunnies! Here for a shameless self-promotion, thank you all for your support, please, do not forget to leave your votes, reviews, and comments, I would love to learn your thoughts on this book. Happy Reading and Lots of Love,Alpha.
This novel kind of reminds me of the old books' style of writing—everything feels rushed. The concept is great, the story is great, and the idea is amazing. The family relationships are fine, and I dislike heartless MCs, but why, just why, is it so fast-paced? Give us time to see other people's reactions and developments. You have Fang Ming and Mr. Brown creating the most advanced rifle of the time—cool, even perfect—but then, suddenly, contracts are secured, and many are sold just like that? Come on! Where are the generals' reactions? Where are the soldiers praising it? Everything happens so fast it's hard to keep up. Reading this feels like a detective novel where you have to stay completely focused, or you'll be lost entirely.
such a great love story with so many turns.
Great write up, I recommend for every anime lover, the author is talented and brings out the best imagination ever. A thumbs up from me. Encore Encore!!!
I read it up to chapter 15. In my opinion, this book has the potential to be an engrossing novel if the author learns from his mistakes when he is writing this book. You can't say much about the whole book when it has only this many chapters but the characters are fine, they don't have much depth and they are a little cliché but you can read without feeling anger about them every chapter. Mc is not stupid and we see that he thinks before taking action, so he has some common sense in his head and you may like him (some even may say that he is smart) and for sure he is not a person who thinks only by his lower body parts, there are problems with him like author make him extremely cold in some situation but sometimes he behaves like petty and very emotional but nothing that can't be changed for the better later in the story. Worldbuilding is great and very interesting, but you just need to lower your expectations a bit to enjoy it if you have high standards. Updates are chaotic sometimes you have so many chapters that you think is Christmas and other days there are none for 2 days. The author responds to comments so he is engaged in this novel and for now, it seems like he cares a lot about the book and tries to learn to make it better, for me, that is a huge plus. In my opinion, if made well this can be more than mediocre but if the author doesn't learn from his mistakes or stop trying to improve this can be worse than mediocre. It's worth trying if you like Villain MC and have some time to spear and help this author shine by leaving your opinion in the comments. I wish you a marvelous day, friends from around the globe.
Didn't expect to find such a hidden gem in the fresh arrivals tab, the first few chapters seemed a bit off pace but from 3rd chapter onwards, it was all uphill. The thrill and excitement can be felt building up and the fighting scenes were quite profesional, the foreshadowing was done skillfully as well.
The first chapter of Echoes of the End immediately pulled me in with its haunting atmosphere and vivid descriptions of Blackthorn. Eleanor's curiosity and her uneasy dynamic with Lena felt real, making me connect with their struggles and fears. The Obelisk’s eerie presence was unsettling in the best way, and the closing scene with the shadowy figure sent chills down my spine. I love how the mystery of their mother ties into the larger story—it’s personal and intriguing. This chapter hooked me with its suspense, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes!
