Okay I need to talk about the plot structure here because this section is genuinely masterful. The author sets up Qin Yu at his absolute lowest — humiliated, rejected by his own sister, stripped of his cultivation — and then introduces this soul remnant called the Heavenly Venerable of Great Love. The name alone is suspicious, right? Like, who names themselves that? And Qin Yu, in his desperation, just... falls for it completely. He's so starved for hope that he can't see the red flags waving at him. The pacing is incredible. We go from the Divine Mirror scene — which itself has this weird streak of light flying out, hinting at something bigger — straight into Qin Yu's breakdown, then the absorption scene, then Lin Yueyao walking in on him. It's almost too much. But then the author pulls back and gives us Ning Bei's perspective, showing him laughing at the image stone. That shift in POV is so smart because it recontextualizes everything. We're not just watching Qin Yu's tragedy — we're watching his enemy benefit from it. And the subplot with the training expedition? That's the author planting a seed. Qin Yu needs to leave the academy to find a primer for the Heavenly Fire Heartburn Art. He's manipulating Lin Yueyao again, using her feelings for him. Meanwhile, Ning Bei and Qin Jiujiu are getting chief disciple rewards and preparing to lead disciples. Two paths diverging — one going deeper into corruption, one ascending. The structure is basically a parallel narrative of rise and fall, and I'm here for it.

I thought this gem was underrated. Very mellow, slow paced, and REALISTIC portrayal of life in the 1990s-2000, albeit embellished by the MC's perfect looks. Not much of a plot but it doesn't need one: it's just about a guy's college life and work along the way, his pursuit of his girlfriend, his advancement of his business-minded career, and his modeling career.Very enjoyable read and there are even food descriptions!
the author done a very good job with football details and stuff. but, he seems to forget that the mc is actually a person but not Robot. common man, his girlfriend has Miscarriage but mc seems not even remember about it the next day, and he goes to play game. the guy got second life after dying alone, but only thinks about football and nothing else, I mean I know it a sport novel, but common, at least let him live some good moments of life other than training and stuff. overall it's Hard for me to pick after authors recent hitus, author should improve on charectar designing and building, because there is no way a person who died and came back to life will behave like the mc you're currently writing.
The read is good and solid when even compared to others of similar taste.ONly downside is the coin cost to unlock chapters 16/18 etc that to me is a lil to high even, especially when compared to others that are around the 8/9 cost range to unlock.Good read all the same
Honestly either my favorite book or second favorite. Close tie with Reincarnation of Strongest Sword God. Author seems to take extreme care to edit out his typos and fix any grammar issues so it's a very smooth read. If you like a villain or anti hero MC then this book is definitely for you, as the MC is easily one of my top fave characters out of multiple books.
