Let me just say this: the author does not waste time. We go from "Bao Taozi is eating potato chips and writing a review" to full transmigrating-in-a-book scenario in like three paragraphs. No slow burn, no "who am I" confusion for more than a page. She wakes up, realizes what's happening, remembers the plot, and immediately starts taking action. That's the kind of pacing that makes you want to read just one more chapter and then suddenly it's 3 AM. The structure is basically: problem (transmigrated as cannon fodder) → discovery (jade pendant still in her possession) → action (activates the space before the female lead can steal it) → preparation (liquidating assets, securing Lawyer Qi). Each beat flows into the next without any filler. Even the exposition about the original novel's plot is woven in naturally through her memories rather than dropped as an info dump. The only moment that felt slightly rushed was the transition from discovering the space to meeting Lawyer Qi. One second she's exploring her cheat ability, the next she's negotiating property sales. But honestly? That's probably intentional. The author is signaling that this protagonist doesn't have time for dwelling—she's already thinking three steps ahead. The pacing itself mirrors her personality: efficient, decisive, no nonsense. And that cliffhanger ending with Qi Heng asking if she's in trouble? Perfect. Just enough mystery to make me click to chapter five.
Okay so let me just say — the author really went FULL THROTTLE with this wedding chapter and I am HERE for it. You have Shen Wan basically in full rebel mode, refusing to eat, slapping Yan Xiao like it's her job, and then the wedding itself? She signs the papers like she's ordering takeout. Cold. Efficient. No joy whatsoever. And then — BANG — gunfire in the middle of the streets. Yan Xiao literally diving on top of her to shield her while bullets are SHATTERING the car windows. The author had me holding my breath. What's genius about this sequence is the escalation: first we get the domestic tension in her room (the feeding scene, the slaps), then the wedding ceremony itself (her signing like it's nothing), and THEN the assassination attempt on the convoy. Each beat raises the stakes higher. And that line she screams at him — 'You knew this would happen! Are you trying to use me as bait?' — that's a massive plot twist reveal. He planned the whole public procession knowing people would attack, and he used her as the lure. Whether that's strategic brilliance or manipulative monster behavior is still up in the air. Also, the detail about Yan Xiao not sleeping all night, smoking cigars in his study, wondering if her parents' deaths were connected to him? That's a subplot that's been simmering since Chapter 3 and it's about to EXPLODE. Who is this guy really?
I love this kind of stories with nightborns, vampires and systems . The author has done a great job so far , I love the direction of the story.

An easy five stars for me! I mean god damn! ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!I've been a fan of Kiiara since her first book The Days When I'm With You. Her writing is always able to touch me in an emotional level, completely different from any other stories. Yes, they also make me angry, sad, happy, etc but Kiiara's writing takes it on a whole different level. She made me down on my knees with tears, scream angrily on top of my lungs, and even suffered from depression! No, I'm not joking. Her first book is that crazy LOL =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇)Meanwhile, It's Your Turn To Cry and Beg, Dear Uncle takes on a completely different style. I never thought Kiiara is capable of such angst! The conflict is gripping and will definitelyy make you want to kill someone, yet weirdly enough it is addicting!! The flow of the story and the writing will easily immerse you into the plot. Before you know it, you will already be reading more than ten chapters. That's how GOOD it is!!I'm dropping this review ahead of time because I'm just THAT EXCITED!! I need to rant, I need to praise author!! THIS BOOK WORTH EVERY SECOND OF MY TIME!!I can't wait to read more and drop another review after that ❤️❤️
It's my first time to read a novel on this kind of theme and I can say that it's very well written, the character development is successful which promotes immersion, it's a good job .
