I have SO many thoughts about Wen Shanyi. This guy is relentless. The mountain hike where he's trailing behind them with resentful eyes practically radiating from his soul? The text literally says his gaze was "practically tangible." And then he corners her for a kiss and her DAD walks in. Her. Dad. I cannot unsee this. But here's the thing that made me actually respect him—he never once threatened Xie Yanqing. When he found out about Ji Yinghe, he didn't go full yandere. He took a photo and sent it. That's... that's almost civilized? And then his line about "little puppies who know how to call you sister being trendy" had me wheezing. The man has range. On the other hand, Xie Yanqing is a whole different problem. He's cold, reserved, treats Shen Jiaojiao like property (the waist comment? The fact that he only lets her go when she's CRYING?), and yet somehow he's also the one who immediately fired Ji Yinghe before the guy even reached the office. That's not love, that's control. But then both of them awaken and suddenly they're having a calm discussion in the study like a business merger. The dynamic shift is fascinating—they go from rivals to co-guardians. And Shen Jiaojiao? She's just trying to survive while stealing USB drives and lying to both of them. Little Black Ball called her a scoundrel and honestly? Fair.
havn't read but bluring out the year with XXXX just means the time this took place was between 1000 to 9999 on a calander although it alot it narrows down the time frame this story occured?
