I say guys. Translator is mediocre. With stupid author keep discarding the side characters each arc. Like seriously. Shitty novel. He puts too much screen time to poeple who would end up in trashbins every arc. Well seriously. Whos side character here isn't dumped every arc except for Mu Shang And Rui Bing anyways. So my advice. If you haven't read this novel, then dont waste ur time here. If ur already reading, then drop this. Just pure waste of time.
The mc starts of strong, pragmatic and grounded. Then he gets a fairy guide and turns into a weak, scatterbrained moron.I liked the initial 25 or so chapters of the story, but with the complete 180 in personality and competence, it began to just grind on my nerves.It showed in the fights of chapter 28 and 29, then with him going from a hoarder on the avarage skyrim player level in chapter to some moron at chapter 30 who doesn't want to pick up loot because he doesn't use those items... When he's carrying a back full of junk items to sell... And needing his fairy guide to point out the obvious in a ridiculing manner, I dropped It.The way I see it, it's like two people worked on this story, the first 25 chapters or so were by a person who liked to write a competent story but lost interest.And the second by a person who had a total thing for the usual incompetant characters who need minders to tell their left hand from their right, along with tropes and clichés.Its like seeing a high rated Litrpg novel start, only to have some weebo wanting it into some kind of mix wuxia / harem anime hybrid.Perhaps the story was written by copy pasting events from other novels, then having the patchwork rewritten as one thing to make it a whole, without keeping the character and his personality in mind.That's not a bad way to write a new story, after all originality these days is just well stolen concepts applied in uncommon ways, but the loss of sight of the character's original engaging personality causing it to be exchanged for a moron with an overbearing fairy who needs to hold his hand lest he trips over his own feet is not cool.I think I would be much more interested in the story if the MC was more consistent in his character.
This is going to have spoilers for up to ch 17. Go away if you don't want to be spoiled. GENERAL SUMMARY:The story begins at a sort of mid point after an event. The MC who is a certified genius at the high school he goes to got beat up by this girl who had no reason to beat him up. (turns out she is his step sister bc his dad is going to marry her mom. He also has a step brother that ain't friendly either) Now the MC discovered that a phone that was stored in their house and forgotten was a relic from ancient ruins that his grandfather helped in excavating. That phone allows him to basically raid dungeons with a game avatar and reviving the avatar only costs a drop of blood. However, all that the avatar collects in the game translates over to reality with benefits. Because of that, the MC keeps on playing that and sleeping so other people think that he got into a slump and gave up on trying. MC obviously proves that he is fine and dandy later on, but somehow no-one seems to be aware of that because his step siblings think he is trash and the other teachers are just unaware. Luckily there isn't too many side character that are rubbish. The step siblings tho... they just suck. OPINION: So I think that this story is worth a read. The MC has an apathy about him that makes him not really care about others except his dad so he sort of just strolls along in life while others seem to care a bit too much about details. However, this makes it really difficult to get a read on the MC, I mean he didn't care that his step brother basically screwed up his chance to be on a really good team for practical examinations. Like the personality of the MC in a phrase would be: calm to the point of being apathetic. The other side characters were reasonable and had common sense in their actions. Step-siblings not really tho. They are just out to make the MC miserable. The general world set up without factions and crap is really similar to shadow hack, modern cultivation stories, and dungeon raiding kind of stories. At a certain point in time, dimensional zones AKA dungeons appeared and monsters came out from those. Humanity adapted to it and now there are special abilities and other cultivation like crap that are present. Currently tho there seems to be no threat of monsters coming out or anything like that. That about wraps up the review.

The dialogue in this passage is absolutely razor-sharp. Let me just quote this exchange because it's everything: "If I really fell for another man during the divorce cooling-off period and wanted to quickly develop a relationship with him, regardless of whether your Fu family could accept it, could you?" "Yu Yue, the divorce cooling-off period is only one month. Can't you wait that long?" This is the kind of conversation where everyone is saying something completely different from what they mean. She's asking a hypothetical about loyalty and desire. He's answering like she's asking whether she can wait for a table reservation. The gap between their frequencies is the whole story. And Fu Jingyan's internal monologue is such a distinct voice from his spoken dialogue. Out loud he's restrained, almost polite—"kindly reminded her," voice turning "cold, full of warning." But inside he's doing wild comparisons between his wife and some mysterious woman, wondering if all women are this bold and reckless. The narrative voice captures that disconnect perfectly. We get to hear his unfiltered thoughts while watching him perform composure, and it's deliciously uncomfortable. Yu Yue's dialogue has a different texture entirely. She's direct, almost aggressively honest. "What if I really can't wait?" She doesn't dress it up. And the narration notes that she was startled by his "icy, murderous gaze" but still had enough self-awareness to read the room. Her voice shifts between provocative and perceptive in a way that feels very real—like someone who's testing boundaries but also paying attention to the consequences. The author's voice throughout is dry and observant, never moralizing, just laying bare the awkward, painful, electric space between two people who've been married for three years and apparently know absolutely nothing about each other.
Middle dragged out too long and was frustrating. Glad I powered through and finished but I was so close to just giving up and shelving this. Great story and well written. Could be condensed & not quite so dramatic and frustrating. More foreshadow & helpful hints to keep reader going would be good
