Giving up on this book/story. The author hasn’t updated in absolute MONTHS. The storyline isn’t stellar anyways. But if the author isn’t interested in continuing writing it why should I support her or wait for something that doesn’t come. GN should delete books that aren’t being timely updated.

It seems like this is the typical expectation from a "Light" novel, indeed, it's quite light and superficial. Initially, I wanted to delve into numerous aspects that are absurd and unrealistic, like the portrayal of God, the church members' foolish behavior, the shallow characters, especially the heroine, and the underdeveloped world-building. However, while there might be redeeming qualities, it's not extraordinary.
If you're seeking a simple, mindless read to pass the time, this genre has its charm. As it falls under the shounen category, that's what you can expect. But if you're not a fan of such narratives, chances are you won't enjoy it much. I wouldn't recommend it to those who can't overlook the issues mentioned earlier. For some, these details might not matter, but they bother me to the point where it affects my overall enjoyment.
I'm not criticizing shounen as a genre, I actually appreciate it, but it's important to acknowledge that books cater to different tastes. Unfortunately, this particular book isn't for me. I can imagine a younger version of myself enjoying it, but personally, it's not a fit.
I initially anticipated another captivating novel akin to Magical Explorer, but unfortunately, it transformed into a slapstick comedy that doesn't mesh well with the storytelling style I prefer. Moreover, the main character fails to evolve; his personality remains stagnant from Volume 1, which starts to become grating.
Really good read. My main issue is that the MC gets the Idol System but never really returns to being an idol in the entertainment industry. Also, be warned that romance is implied until the extras of the first story, so it’s a slow burn.
This novel has brought me joy over the past few days I've been reading it. Although the main character (MC) is a gray Sue who consistently wins medals and breaks records, I wasn't put off by it. The pacing is a bit quick, often skipping over training periods, and the timeline of certain events makes the achievements seem somewhat unrealistic. However, I tend to overlook such details easily, so I wouldn't recommend this book if you're the type to nitpick at every inconsistency.
The romance is minimal for the most part but appears in a very fluffy manner. The plot primarily focuses on the MC's journey to the spotlight, with the romance adding a touch of sweetness.
It's worth noting that the structure of the story is 143 chapters (Main Story) + 10 Extra + 102 Independent Extra: Parallel World + 13 Extra, as mentioned in the chapter list. From the parallel world section onwards, it feels like the author wrote a fanfiction exploring alternate scenarios of her own novel and included it. This part seems self-indulgent and doesn't always make sense, but that's kind of the point—it happens because the author wants it to. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad.
It reads like a korean webtoon that has too many closeups without showing the background. Extraordinarily difficult to read when it's primarily disembodied voices talking in a blank void half the time before zooming out on the setting half a notch. If you've never read a better novel with a similar style, then this just reads like a collection of thoughts you're eavesdropping on with very limited context. You will find yourself actually understanding things as simple as ordinary dialogue and interactions between characters only after you've read additional chapters because there's less than necessary context clues already written. The translation also has weird gender errors throughout that add onto the confusion.
